John Lennon's album "Some Time In New York City"
What do most fans here think of this 1972 joint effort with Yoko Ono, his last until "Double Fantasy"?
After all, it was slated at the time, failed to make the US Top 20, and upset the American government. I personally find it very enjoyable listening (especially the song "New York City"), and think its only weakness is that it was released as part of a double album, the other half being a live concert with Frank Zappa that was okay, but far too long. There are some good songs on it like Woman Is The ****** Of The World and The Luck Of The Irish, but the album's spoilt for me by Yoko's singing - she just didn't have a good voice IMO. It's an interesting snapshot of JL's radical politics phase though.
