I would have thought the Sony Ericsson K800i is a good shout.

its all personal preference. |

I would say the S/E K800i...But again I would as I have got one. Some people hate them, others couldn't care less what they have.
In reality I don't think there is a "best" phone out there. |

The K800i has a lot going for it but it's not a brilliant design. They don't seem to have implemented the joystick properly and the camera settings work unintuitively, I had to restore ours to normal settings after someone had f***ed them up and it's not something you could do one handed in a hurry.
Is there a better-designed camera/phone? I'd be happy with 2 megapixels if it was more intuitive to use. |

Is there a better-designed camera/phone? I'd be happy with 2 megapixels if it was more intuitive to use. Much lighter and much easier to use. Its slower than the k800i as it uses Symbian based software but you can do much more with it and it has a 3.2mp camera that takes lovely pics. I would go so far to say the n73 pic quality is better than the k800i but for video the k800i is much better. Last edited by neo6776 : 05-03-2007 at 09:41. |

I have a SEk800i and an N73.
I prefer the SE, just find it quicker through the menus as the OP mentioned. There is not much to choose between them though. Although I would wait and have a look at the N95. |

Yes its slightly slow as are all phones that run symbian sw however, i recently flashed my firmware to the Internet edition and by did it make a difference. its muuuuuuch faster than it was when bogged down with 3's firmware. Features wise you cant fault them. The build quality is brilliant as well. Its solid. |

Yup, I have to say nokia symbian phones are really good at the moment. You can't beat N73, too many softwares and emulators for it.
Nokia N93 is good if you like to take pictures/videos and wifi, but too bulky for me
