17:45- Comic Relief Does Fame Academy- 4.5m (23.9%)
21:00- Comic Relief Does Fame Academy- 4.2m (18.6%) not too good to be honest... but ratings will probably increase as the show goes one. |

To be expected really.
I'm sure it'll improve - eventually. Up against the soaps will be tough though. 3m might be a little optimistic for Wednesday. |

Guess the early scheduling means they're hoping for a big kiddie vote. Hence the coverage on kids TV and choice of so many "comedy performers" rather than decent singers too.
It's a shame, I really like FA normally, but have a strong suspicion this one isn't for me ...

Slight off topic I know – but it does concern me that the programme is trying so hard to appeal to younger viewers. My two boys watched the CBBC programme yesterday and were both very keen to vote for Zoe. The charity is supposed to help vulnerable people not manipulate them into spending money. I don't think it is right to use "Pester Power" in this way!
I think the ratings will be low…lots of people (adults) I spoke to hadn’t realised it had started yet! Children are only allowed to stay up so late during the school week! |

No figures as yet but last nights rare Wednesday night outing of Casualty only had 4.4m the lowest audience its had since July 2001! The Bill at the same time had 5.2m.
Broadcast says that BBC One slumped to a peaktime share (6pm - 10.30pm) of just 17.1%. ITV1 had 26.1%. Black Wednesday returns to haunt BBC One. |

Well on Saturday I will be watching Dancing on Ice rather than Fame Academy. I only watch it during the week as nothing much else is on at 7pm. I never bother to watch the later show as I am not THAT interested in who is voted off as I hardly know any of the celebs that are on the show this year. Who the heck is Fred? and Tim? and that blonde girl from Blue Peter who really cannot sing, poor thing. Tara is dreadful but I think the judges comments are very over the top and rather nasty. I would hate to be humiliated on national Telly for FREE!!! AFTER ALL it is all for charity so they could be a little nicer in their comments.

WHY on earth has it been scheduled so badly?!
Putting it at 7 against emmerdale and corrie (some nights) is a disaster! I would love to watch both but i end up chosing the soaps! I cant understand why they have done this this year? |

[quote=ronant]They cant give every single show an 8 or 9pm slot. And if they did, it would disrupt a lot of programmes like Life on Mars. /QUOTE]Which has suffered more than its fair share of disruption recently!
