sigh.. at least try to address the points that I was making not straw men that u can then knock down..
1) don't kid yourself he was even fit to lace Lemar's boots
A: I wasn't comparing lemar to kwame in terms of vocal talent..
2) You think people should have kept Kwame in just because of his colour?
A: No, because he is the best singer (for the millionth time)
And for the millionth time, this was 'Comic Relief Does Fame Academy', not a contest to see who could sing best and earn a record contract, like the real FA was. It was for charity, with the emphasis on the 'Comic' in Comic Relief. As it happened, Kwame happened to beat the likes of John Thomson and Jo Brand, who I personally would have much rather seen in the latter stages, purely for entertainment value. They would have inspired me to vote to keep them in or their opponents out, and I assume others would have felt the same from the comments on this forum. More phone calls = more money for charity. It's really very simple. How race even comes into it is beyond me.
3) Lemar's had comparatively mild criticism
A: In your opinion, certainly not in mine...
In comparison to David, and the likes of Jade during BB3, if you think Lemar's had heavy criticism then you're being over-sensitive to the point of paranoia.
4) Are all those people racist?
A: No, not all of them.. but enough to make a difference.
Utter rubbish. By 'make a difference', I assume you mean costing Lemar first or second place, right? So the reason Lemar didn't win Fame Academy is because of racist voters? Sorry, that's crap. He lost because people liked David and Sinéad more, both personality-wise, and in some cases, performance-wise. Get over it.
5) Kwame came across as pretentious and taking the whole thing too seriously. Why shouldn't he be voted out?
A: Will came across as self-indulgent idot.. why shouldn't he be voted out? What's your point?
My point is more Forum members saw Kwame that way than saw Will that way. Why does race come into it? If you prefer one person to another, you vote the other one out, it's so simple. No doubt there are a minority of racists and bigots who would have sided with Will because he is white, but you seem to think that's the only reason for Kwame losing out. It's not, and if you can't see that, that's your problem.
6) You're seeing racism where, from the vast majority of the voting public, there is none.
a: How do you know that, have you ever experienced racism?
So you're saying that voting public during CFA were largely racist? I'm sure I'm not the only one to take offence at that. Whether I've experienced it personally has nothing to do with whether Kwame was booted out witha racist motive.
7) And in doing that, you're harming the very cause you're fighting
A: In your opinion. I am not a subscriber to the 'shut up and the problem will go away' theory.
Neither am I. Racism is a blight on our society and speaking out when faced with obvious examples of racism is the best way to try to eliminate it. But desperately searching for racism where there is none and playing the race card because you're annoyed your favourite lost only makes things worse.
