Heard her on GMTV today and her singing is absolutely awful!

Rubbish, she's a very good singer-songwriter...and I would try her earlier songs if you haven't heard them before writing her off. Start with 'Us' and 'Samson'.
It comes down to personal taste though doesn't it? I think Joanna Newsom is the best singer-songwriter on the planet but lots of people hate her as well as she's even more of an acquired taste. Go figure .

Regina Spektor is a very good singer/song writer. Her new single 'Fedelity' is absolutely awesome and the video to it is somewhat well put together.
I can't wait til she releases her next single. Don't slate Regina down, as delgado says - listen to her earlier songs and see what you think then

I don't see the hype. At the end of the day, why sing and emphasise on the very high notes in the song to pad it out.
Yet another, "I do not get" act around. |

i have listened to those songs, apologies for the delay, have been busy today. i still am far from a fan of hers, i admit i am a huge fan of the female singer songwriter genre (gemma hayes being my favourite), but i don't think her songs are poppy enough in style for a lot of mainstream radio play

Not seen or heard much of her, but the advert on TV for her is enough to put me off for life.

I'm loving Regina at the moment, I happened to catch fidelity on one of the video channels one day and I've been hooked since.
