Pat put herself in a "No win" situation. She would have been better off not knowing or pretending that she knew nothing.

By trying to interfere she merely stored up trouble for herself.

I feel sorry for Pat. She was in an awful position, should she of told Barry before or kept quiet and tried to end the affair.

She has tried to do the right thing.

One thing I do hate, Pat get them awful earings off? they are horrid.

I thought it was a bit OTT - to get SO angry that you have a heart attack? Saying she'd ruined Barry's life and his life? Bit harsh! She WAS trying to protect Barry and thought he'd never need know. But I DO think she should have told Roy and they could have decided between them whether or not to tell Barry. She thought she was acting for the best. What if she HAD told Barry? Would Natalie have stayed? The outcome would have been the same - she'd have tried to make the marriage work but would still have gone off with Ricky. None of it was Pat's fault. Hope Roy forgives her on his deathbed.

Poor old Roy - the mere mention of the name Butcher and his blood starts boiling. I think he's projecting!
If I were Barry, I might start being bit nicer to Dad's wife - seeing as she's likely to inherit the lion's share of his "wealth".

And it IS Pat's house he's living in .... isn't it? It was the house she and Frank had when they were married.

Roy leaves absolutly EVERYTHING to Barry in his will.
What a fool. He's gonna blow it big time!

You're right there - the scriptwriters have made a boo-boo. The house is actually Pat's - so how can Roy leave it to Barry, for Barry to chuck Pat out,
Roy moved into Pat's house when he fell on hard times.
And is it realistic that a husband would leave nothing to his wife in the will - or that the wife would know nothing about it ? I don't think this is very realistic on any count.

Maybe the house belongs to the business? (tax reasons?) and Roy leaves everything to Barry knowing that he'd look after Pat if anything happened, after all she'd go back to work with him if Roy died.
Just an idea

I did feel sorry for Pat in the situation that she was in, but those turquoise earrings makes it hard to feel sympathy!

How can that be possible? Another unlikely EE storyline! Pat and Frank used to live in that house, so even if Roy had bought it off her, as his widow she would automatically inherit it UNLESS Roy had written a will leaving it to Barry, and he would probably have made provision for Pat anyway. But the will won't have been read yet, so he can't throw her out ... Roy was well aware what a prat Barry is, so surely he wouldn't trust him to look after Pat?

If he does throw Pat out, then all sympathy I had for him goes out of the window. Hope Nathan comes back and gives him a hard time.

apparently pat and roy are reconciled before his death (It said it in the mirror on Saturday!), the rest, well who knows, the EE script writers don't care for things like reality or continuity very often so it wouldn't surprise me if Pat had to start living on the streets at the behest of mad Barry. Roy and Barry are fools anyway, despite pat's intentions, and regardless of whether her telling them about the affair would have ben more apropriate, how would it have changed the fact that Nat didn't want barry anymore? They're just looking for a scapegoat because the truth is to painful.

I could forgive him being a complete prat if he was a nice prat. But he's not. He's got absolutely nothing to offer, and the only mystery is why Natalie got together with him in the first place.

Well it's not for his looks, brains or money, so it makes you wonder if there's something else ?

LOL YES He told her he had always hated them. It's not MUCH to ask, is it? At least they weren't the last thing he saw as he died.

Pat needs to hot-foot it down to the Citizens Advice pronto. Even if Barry is right about the will (and you wouldn't take what the Big Baby says as gospel, would you?) then Pat can challenge it and get it changed - you can't just leave a dependent spouse out of your will, and you can't dispose of a property with a sitting tenant without their rights to remain transferring with them.

Barry is making himself look even more ridiculous than usual.
