What's wrong with using natural products on your face if you have a fear of detergents, you can find them if you bother to look? I think the idea of not washing your face daily is gross imo. |

I cleanse, tone, moisturise (I use Simple products) both morning and evening, if in the evening I'm too tired, I usually just use the make up wipes. I've been suffering from mild acne recently so I've got some stuff from the doctors to clear it up and I also use Clearasil pads. I bath every 1-2 days. I much prefer a bath myself, nothing like soaking in a hot bath full of bubbles

Alongside more general baths and showers, teeth brushing, deoderant etc I do very little. Every now and then I use a little night cream if my skin looks dry, and the occasional face mask if I want a good, deep down clean
No makeup, and I drink a lot of water If I don't drink much water, it does start to show in terms of spots. *I do squeeze my spots when I get them That's really bad, but I just can't help it! I do it without even thinking and really want to break the habit.

I shower once a day - sometimes twice if I've been to the gym. Wash my hair every 2 days- got long hair and its a pain to wash every day. I wash my face every day using a a non soap cleanser - it wakes me up and makes me my skin feel clean.
I don't wear make up unless I am off to work or going out - mascara, clear lipgloss and some MAC concealer. At the weekend its just moisturiser. I go through periods of being very concientious regarding skin care, i.e cleansing, toning, moisturising but sometimes I just use the makeup remover cloths from Simple. When I am making more of an effort I use a day cream /night cream by Decleor and an eye cream by Decleor as well. I do exfoliate my face once a week, use face masks and when I can be bothered use either Eve Lom cleanser or Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - although time consuming it does leave my skin feeling very clean. The time my skin has looked it's best was when I was aborad in a very hot country and got a bit of a tan ( even though I am naturally olive toned) - it made a real difference, no blemishes, clear radiant complexion. My mum is almost 50, has never really worn makeup or expensive creams. Washes her face with water and nowt else and the woman has the skin of 20 year old. The most I have ever seen her use is Ponds cream and that's if she's making a real effort. So I am not sure if all my efforts are really worth it. |
