Is Orange Customer Service the very worst?
Faust

Is Orange customer service now the worst performing organisation in the country? I have been with Orange since it formed - quite some time now. However, over the past few days I have been trying to contact Orange CS to try to work our why my Sony Ericsson K510i phone won't send picture messages despite the fact it is registered and setup to send. So far I have tried to contact them for 4 days spending 3hrs 41mins on the phone. All you get is the automated female message "we are currently experiencing a high volume of calls, sorry for the delay your call will be answered shortly". I even tried at 2 in the morning yet I get the same message. I they taking the p**s or what?

They have been quite pleasant and helpful to me so far.

i've had a fair few problems with orange.
i've recently had problems with my phone and people can hear me but i cant hear them. (intermitently)they are trying to tell me it's cos a transmitter is down in my area, yet no one else i know on orange is having this problem.
it;s just annoying how long it takes to get to speak to them really.. 15-30 mins on hold often.

and i originally had problems with them because they suspended my phoen service for non payment. yet i was under the impression it was direct debit, which i signed up or, yet for some reason they werent taking money from my account, which i didnt know till they had cut me off! needless to say thsi took a bit of sorting which is more problematic when you dont have a landline, and it wont let you ring orange customer services from your handset that they have barred outgoing calls from!

getting sick of ringing them... on my 3rd handset on a fairly new contract. they did sort out replacement fairly quick on the others.

Not the VERY worst... but they're having a good old go. Personally, whenever I ring I get India and all the staff there are quite obviously spoiling for a fight, to the extent I don't ring them up anymore - I email instead. Granted it's slower, but it gets the job done eventually. Also, the staff who do any email callbacks are actually pretty good I've found.

I think the one thing that everyone can agree on is that Orange used to be brilliant when it was owned by Hutchinson, but went down hill when the French got hold of it.

If you on orange prem you get answered very quick and they are open 24 hours for me. You only get india on pay as you go as far as I know.

Never a truer word written or spoken - as you say when it was Hutchinson the CS department really was very good. I finally got through the other morning. However, I am convinced that the automated message "we are currently experiencing a high volume of calls, sorry for the delay your call will be answered shortly" is now a standard feature used by Orange. I phoned up at 1 minute past 8 and got the same automated message yet the call was answered only seconds later. It was never going to be good when it was taken over by French Telecom - the French appear even worse than the British when it comes to CS. Has anyone seen the ongoing saga on Watchdog concerning Renault

Orange are too expensive for the poor service they offer.
I really regret signing up for 18 months and know a lot of other people who will dump Orange when their contract ends.

Bloody hell! I remember the old Talk 200 - 200 mins to Orange and Landlines for £58.75 a month - no rollover and you had to pay 9p/min for voicemail!!!

And believe it or not - that was the best value at the time!

Check the current deals - not just what you have at the time.

Simon”

Service is more than how many mins or texts are included in the contract. You are a typical Orange CS person who can't understand that if Orange gave me 3000 mins &unlimited texts for £20 pm it still would not keep me with Orange when they provide a rubbish service

The new tariffs on the Orange website are actually worse in the £30 price range than what I have already but that's not what my problem is with Orange.

I can't believe some people get so worked up about it all.

indeed.

I rang them up to get WAP and MMS and everything set up when I bought this phone, sorted promptly and politely, couldn't ask for more really.

You have to wonder why some people moan about service, when others never have a problem - why is this?

I suppose you work for Orange like that other fan boy simax

If you payed full price for Orange service you would be looking elsewhere.

Don't be so ridiculous, I've had my fair share of phones, and have had experience with all networks. But any one would guess you worked for a rival judging by your comments. Yawn indeed.

No I don't work for a phone company thank you

Is that the best you can come up with?

Also the Orange BB is even worse than the phones as even the people who work for Orange don't appear to use their BB.
