According to Inside Soap,

Spoiler

Sounds good, and I'm sure they'll both do it justice. nice to have a double hander as well as we haven't had one in ages!

OMG such a steal from EastEnders! It could well be good but the two-hander is a well-known EE trademark.

Deirdre is pathetic to the core, I hardly think a wee murder will change the opinion of this blinded mother and skanky daughter relationship, although one can only hope eh??

I imagine it is just Tracey and Deidre in the entire episode.

Will make a refreshing change

Curly & Raquel had a two-hander in January 2000

EastEnders have had two handers more or less from the beginning. I can't remember the last one though.

Pauline & Dot should have had one before she left.

I find those episodes extremely boring. I don't find either the Tracy or Dierdre character entertaining or interesting enough to have an episode on their own.

'Two hander' is an expression that has been around long before Corrie or EE aired. It's simply a play with just two actors. EE did not invent it and Corrie did not nick the idea.
Personally, I find soap two handers tedious.

I've been thinking about this and it will take quite a lot from the two, to capture the audiences attention for a whole episode ... obviously of just talking...
