Rita's Kabin
07-03-2007
Wednesday 7 March 7.30 - 8pm ITV1

David (Jack P Shepherd) knows Tracy's (Kate Ford) stalling and he's not prepared to wait for his reward till after the trial. Tracy's time's up and as she asks Jason (Ryan Thomas) for the keys to Charlie's flat she can't quite believe what she's being forced to do. Thinking on her feet she asks Adam (Sam Robertson) to call her at a set time before inviting David round to the flat. Once there Tracy starts playing for time but when Adam gets caught up in a drinking game and forgets to call with her get out, it looks like Tracy is going to have to go through with her seduction of David after all.

Meanwhile, Jason's not fooled by Tracy's explanation for wanting the keys to Charlie's but when he turns on the CCTV of the flat he gets more than he bargained for when he sees her entering with David. What will he make of their intimacy?

At the Rovers the atmosphere's icy as Michelle (Kym Ryder) and Sean (Antony Cotton) come face to face. Realising the truth is out, Steve (Simon Gregson) tries not to look smug as Michelle admits he was right about Sonny. As she thanks him for his support Steve thinks he's in, but when she overhears him telling Lloyd (Craig Charles) it's his chance now how will she react?

Elsewhere, Sonny (Pal Aron) hasn't given up on finding love in Coronation Street and turns his attentions to Sean. How will he respond?

Leanne (Jane Danson) reveals she's interested in buying Jamie's (Rupert Hill) house and she'll give him first refusal if she rents it out.

And over at Underworld the factory girls aren't exactly making new recruit Vicki's (Wanda Opalinska) life easy as they attempt to play a few tricks on her. But Vicki's no easy target.

This episode is written by Damon Rochefort, produced by Steve Frost and directed by Stuart Davids.

A good episode tonight.

David was fantastic When he slapped Tracy's bum that was just plain fantastic!

As Charlie's house has been sold how come the business hasn't been sorted out? Is Jason just alowed to keep it?? And the flat aswell?

Steve/Michelle stuff was very good

Why can't Sonny just leave and stop ruining lives!?

Leanne is also plain fantastic in anything she does

Underworld stuff was average-Paul and Liam about the Polish workers

Overall...7/10

Steve's facial expressions made the episode again for me!

An interesting albeit ********* infected episode.

I like the rapport between Vermin and Jack( The master)

In the drinking game. Someone should have said, " I have never had sex for money"

Couldn't Sean and Michelle just work different shifts.

Devil Boy should tell Tracey that he just wants them to get down to it

When Joanne spat her drink out that was SO not rehearsed. It was hilarious.

That's what I thought!!! He'd have been all over her like a rash the minute the door closed. Instead he sat there like he was waiting for an interview.

That was one of the best Corrie episodes in a long time. Steve was really good tonight. I also think Antony Cotton is portraying Sean quite well; I know he has his critics on these forums but... And the Kelly/Adam/Joanne/Leanne stuff was good as well - a different sort of scene and surely Adam's first actual 'storyline' this year?

Yes I agree she has revitalised Corrie a bit now; I liked her before as well though but her character's changed slightly.

I'm not sure who he is but he's in the factory and he was eating a pasty and chatting to Leanne at the start. The guy makes me feel ill his acting is so bad.

super episode tonight. Still love Michelle! Ohhh Steve really does know how to put his foot in it!! AND ehhh Liz-Michelle aint deaf for gods sake...its a small pub!

Adam actually had several parts tonight!! Conversation with tracyluv, drinks with the girls and an off-screen phone call but his name was mentioned!! Shock!

David actually looked nervous when he wasnt smirking!!
IVE NEVER LAUGHED SO MUCH when he smacked her bottom and said "Sexy!" OMG it was hilarious!

Sean. I admit im critical of Antony and dont like Sean but nice to see him finally grow some and tell Sonny where to go. Good job Sean!

Im sure when Michelle gets over the creep shell be fine with Sean again.

Oh and Ryan Thomas. Actor of the Year. Superb. Not.

Here:-

Slightly dull tonight I thought.

The Toxic / David stuff was dull beyond belief. KF was chronic in the scene with Jason when she was pretending to be upset. That "act" wouldn't have convinced a 5 year old really. The best bit was when David slapped her bum but, in truth, this storyline has been treading water for some time now & only really moved forward in the sense that Jason now knows about David & Toxic. Having said that, Toxic knew about Charlie's camera & saw it on a number of occasions. We can only assume that the "stress" of putting on an act for both Jason & David has driven that particular fact from her mind.

Underworld stuff was nothing special either, although Wiki getting Kelly & Joanne to fix her machine was vaguely amusing. The Rovers scenes were slightly better with Leanne's drinking game & Joanne spitting out her drink. Adam's "certainty" was a bit stupid though. All he had to say was "I've never had a father who drives a taxi" or something similar if he wanted Leanne to down a shot.

The Michelle / Sean stuff was reasonable, although Steve had all the best stuff as he sat in the back room whilst Michelle told Liz about Sean & Sonny & later as he told Michelle that she didn't know about the previous relationship of his that had ended in disaster. Pity that we had to ruin the possibility of a Michelle / Steve relationship so soon with her coming out of the loo & catching Steve bragging to Lloyd.
Sean was obviously out to try & gain some sympathy & him taking the moral highground with Sonny was hypocritical to say the least. Antony Cotton didn't put in a terribly good performance again, &, if the production team are set on keeping him they should restrict him to comedy stuff from now on as he really lets the side down when he's called on to do the dramatic stuff.

Vermin amusing (not!) as usual.

5 and a half out of 10.
