The Toxic / David stuff was dull beyond belief. KF was chronic in the scene with Jason when she was pretending to be upset. That "act" wouldn't have convinced a 5 year old really. The best bit was when David slapped her bum but, in truth, this storyline has been treading water for some time now & only really moved forward in the sense that Jason now knows about David & Toxic. Having said that, Toxic knew about Charlie's camera & saw it on a number of occasions. We can only assume that the "stress" of putting on an act for both Jason & David has driven that particular fact from her mind.

Underworld stuff was nothing special either, although Wiki getting Kelly & Joanne to fix her machine was vaguely amusing. The Rovers scenes were slightly better with Leanne's drinking game & Joanne spitting out her drink. Adam's "certainty" was a bit stupid though. All he had to say was "I've never had a father who drives a taxi" or something similar if he wanted Leanne to down a shot.

The Michelle / Sean stuff was reasonable, although Steve had all the best stuff as he sat in the back room whilst Michelle told Liz about Sean & Sonny & later as he told Michelle that she didn't know about the previous relationship of his that had ended in disaster. Pity that we had to ruin the possibility of a Michelle / Steve relationship so soon with her coming out of the loo & catching Steve bragging to Lloyd.
Sean was obviously out to try & gain some sympathy & him taking the moral highground with Sonny was hypocritical to say the least. Antony Cotton didn't put in a terribly good performance again, &, if the production team are set on keeping him they should restrict him to comedy stuff from now on as he really lets the side down when he's called on to do the dramatic stuff.

Vermin amusing (not!) as usual.

5 and a half out of 10.”

Totally agree with everything you say here, but i don't need keeping in line, it's you and your voddy habits that do

Ahh im full of praise.
But some for Joanne-that was hilarious when she spat the drink out. To me that was an impromptu fit of laughing that paid of comically! No way could that have been planned or rehersed!! But then again-the reactions werent shocking enough for it to have been unplanned where they....ahh well good acting if thats the case!!

Of course you need keeping in line Norris.

Valentine card...does that ring any bells? Thinking Deirdre & Sally & God knows who sent it to you .....

You obviously harbour delusions about your sex appeal whereas I am just a irressitible 50 something sex Goddess.

The problem now is that all the rich old men (Fred 'n' Mike) have died & I need to marry someone rich to guarantee that I can still pay for my voddy by the time I start collecting my pension.......

I'm really liking Vernon now, he's grown on me.

Vernon is growing on me too - he kind of reminds me of a thin Fred Gee behind the bar.

Liz needs to be fiery more often - love it when she gets mad and shouts like a banshee.

Michelle is growing on me too - her scene when she twisted Steve's ear was fab

Not rich enough. He'd only be able to afford a month's supply of voddy & that's not enough for me!!!

Can anyone settle an argument in my household?

I am not convinced that Tracy knows about the CCTV camera in Charlie's workshop hence her decision to lure David into the old flat but my mum thinks otherwise. Can anyone help?

Why is Liam so chirpy and flirty with Leanne when his sister's just had her heartbroken - in the most horrible way as well, with all the big brother protective stuff him and paul do, you'd think he'd at the very least be subdued?

Why do people like Michelle (Kym Ryder) so much? I just don't get it. She has been praised beyond belief on these posts and is way way top against everyone else in the elimination game. She's not that good. Not the worse but certainly not the best. Leanne (Jane Danson) as an actress and character is head and shoulder above her but like others get pulled apart on these threads. I just don't understand. Maybe there is something Bet Lynch about her.

Or maybe a lot of Hearsay fans??

He's a man and she is new blood in the street for him

She has that hard edge that suits the street.

I think she must have forgotten about the camera otherwise she'd know that David would be seen going into the flat. I also thought she was pretty indiscreet stroking his face in the street. Does she think nobody looks out of their windows?

he was on Loose Women yesterday, (Wednesday), and he said that he's only contracted to the beginning of May. I got the impression that that his departure is already filmed, but he didn't say what it was, (but I also got the idea that he's on the payroll for a while, just in case he can fit into a one-off scene).

Disclaimer: I don't normally watch LW - it just happened to be on

It's called a plot device. A convenient way of moving it on a bit: someone else finding out what they're doing. So it can then be Deirdre.

In real life, as they say, someone as sly as Toxic wouldn't do such a thing out in the street, but the way she'd do it, this could go on for months in secret, and they can't have that.

Plot device.

You'd think as a writer I'd have spotted that. Slaps own head! So Deirdre is going to see the film footage? Excellent. Her facial expressions will be a wonder to behold.

I thought she may remind people of Bet Lynch, however although she is praised what about Katherine Kelly (Becky Grainer)? People seem to confuse the characters with the performances. Katherine is one of the best actress' on the street but receives little or no praise for it. She has even been attacked for her role. At least Jane Danson (Leanne) is starting to be noticed. Carla will be the next one to be praised as a 'strong independant woman' yet she really is a bad actress. I can see Kym's character dominating the storylines with her family for a long time to come while real talent gets forgotton about.

Oh yes, Deirdre sees it and little cogs start to turn in her head to make her wonder if TracyLuv has been telling the truth!

Next week has a good episode by the sound of it. Toxic tells her she's only being nice to Demon because he's traumatised about having to testify - he's a little boy who needs a bit of motherly attention, is probably how she tries to make it sound!

But then Deirdre finds out from Gail that Demon is totally unbothered about having to testify ... she also finds out from Steve that Charlie was planning on chucking Toxic out of his house the day he was killed. And Toxic had said she wanted to leave but he wouldn't let her because "I am his" as she put it and that was why she killed him, in self defence. No wonder it makes Deirdre think! The neck muscles will be working overtime!

This apparently is to lead to a two hander between Toxic and Deirdre the night before Deirdre testifies, so clearly by then she knows Toxic is lying and we're all supposed to be gripped wondering if she tells the truth in court or lies.

Now they couldn't have had that for month if they'd let Demon and Toxic carry on unseen by anyone else! It's dragged on long enough as it is.
