I was actually thinking about that myself when I watched yesterday's episode. Amy left Leah in her moses basket, on the coffee table all by herself. It could have toppled over, and the baby could have been hurt. I know it's only TV, but programmes like Hollyoaks should be setting an example. If this had happened in real life, and a young baby was hurt due to falling off a table then social services would be involved.

I'm fed up of this already. It could have been so good but Kathy is driving me mad. I just want Amy to hurry up and love Leah already!

Isn't the whole point of it that Amy doesn't feel [or pretends she doesn't feel] anything for Leah, and doesn't care about her?

I think that this storyline is going very well actually. Yes Cathy Barnes is a very annoying person, but that is the point of her character, to annoy us, to make us not like her, and to hate the way she manipulates the family.
Sarah doesnt really like her, and can see through what she is doing, Mike just wants to work at fixing their marriage, so that leaves Amy, once again on her own. She is slowly developing feelings for her daughter, but with nobody in the family making her spend time with Leah, this is going to take a while. When it does, and when Amy decides she will in fact be a mother to leah, rather than a sister, I think it will lead to some very good drama. |

i think kathy should just go away and let amy bond with the baby and stop being a pushy parent. amy should look after her and start to thinkof her as hers not her mum's.
Spoiler
i wish she didn't i think it's a good storyline!

I only noticed yesterday how that was the first time Amy had actually held little Leah properly, I thought Kathy was just being incredibly controlling, but I only really realised that she was purposely stopiing them bonding when she took Leah away from Amy who was comforting her pretty well.
Also, that baby is very, very sweet. I think I have bonded with her more than Amy. LOL |
