Blondie, Blondie, Blondie

I just adore Blondie. I did as a teenager and have undergone the most fantastic rediscovery of the band recently.

There's this distinct sound thing going on...I'd love to hear some of their stuff on sci-fi soundtracks.

My fav bits of Blondie -

Union City Blue
T Birds
Dragonfly
11:59
In the Flesh
Angels on the Balcony
Danceway
One Way or Another
Shayla

That was so therapeutic

Not forgetting the iconic and shockingly gorgeous Debbie Harry. I think she must be from Venus, or somewhere not of this planet

Any other fanatics out there want to do a bit of Blondie-Festing?

I'm seeing Blondie in the summer hopefully! Apparently they are playing gigs in London. Tickets on sale Friday.

I love them too...

Debbie did good to stick to music though...Videodrome was crap.

A Blondie documentary has just been shown on BBC4.... 'One Way or Another'.
It was really good too.
Did anybody else just watch it?

Is that their own song? I didn't know that was one of theirs. Knew the song, never associated it with being a Blondie song at all.

Anyway, yes, Blondie are great.
Debbie Harry is iconic. There's just something so compelling about her and her performances. I love the melodic vocals that Debbie sang in their songs.

I'd bet that not a lot of people would realise that Blondie probably played a huge part in contributing to making Hip Hop the successful music industry it is now.

Ah, the french version of Sunday Girl. Debbie Harry's terrible but extremely sexy french pronounciation.
