Okay so the kissing is a bit more real than the violence. But that's the case regardless of the gender of the other person. Mr Aron is perfectly happy to get "intimate" with a woman who he isn't really attracted to but seems less keen with a man he's not attracted to.”

I agree with the first part...but there is always a question mark over an actors sexuality, just because they are actors. No one knows their sexuality for sure unless you are in that particular actors inner circle. I get the feeling that some actors who say they are straight are not believed, and if they are straight it must be frustrating as they are basically being called liars. I 'think' this is what is giving this actor his attitude...but I don't know him I'm only guessing.

As for the kissing...I would imagine he is just more comfortable kissing a member of the opposite sex, though in all honesty if he wasn't prepared to do a gay kiss then he shouldn't have taken the part..it should have gone to an actor who would.

I think you're most likely right about what is making him uncomfortable. His only two high profile roles (that I know of) have both been gay characters and maybe he's frustrated by that and what people will assume about him.

You're spot on about the gay kiss. If taking this part has made him uncomfortable then he shouldn't have taken it. He would have known what he was getting into.

Personally, I think he's made a very poor job of Sonny and has done himself no favours at all career-wise. If that poor performance is down to his discomfort then he's definitely made a big mistake.

There are all sorts of occasions where actors have to say or do things that they don't like or don't approve of (racist dialogue for example) but if pretending to be someone else isn't for you then acting is probably not the right job.

Some people do not believe it when an actor say's they are straight because the industry isn't known for it's straight males...they think he's hiding gay tendancies.”

That what I was trying to get out-especailly on loose women they would have eaten him alive!!

Did anyone notice that he seemed to either have a bruise or big black mark on his temple on Loose Woman? It looked like hair dye that had smuged!!

I didn't see it and I have no idea if he's gay, straight or bi - but there's something about him I find very appealling

*straight woman, apparently nearing death's door at 28*

Pal Aron is a nasty piece of work IMO. I remember he left The Bill because he wasn't in it enough even though he'd been in it all the time and then he moaned that they didn't kill his character off even though he got a really dramatic exit!
