virgin landline
Getting a Virgin Landline installed-- do these have the normal area code --does anyone know please?

You will get a regular area code, if you live in Sandbach then you will get an (01270) area code number, the first couple of digits after the area code may not be in the same range as BT numbers.
One thing to note, Virgin have some of the dearest rates in the UK, even with their additional fee addons such as Talk Mobile and Talk International they are exspensive to call those numbers, also calls to 0870 and 0845 are higher, calls to landlines are high too. If you had a BT landline you could have got for no fee free evening and weekend calls via Primus Saver 2 and cheap calls during the day, international (from 0.5p) and calls to mobiles, 2p/min weekends and 6p/weekdays via 18185 (no monthly fee). Cable phone line is really for those who must have a phone line, but never really use it to call anyone and then only if you managed to get a good deal on the monthly rental. |
