I adore Colin Murray, he just says what everyone is thinking but is too scraed to say in case they alienate the judges, teachers or public, but he never says anything nasty or offensive. (he is keeping it real how it should be kept real!)

Also He always says good luck to the others when announced through, cheers evryone on when they are singing and takes a real interest in their lives and song choices etc!

Anyone who has listened to Radio 1 knows he is a gooby cheeky little Git!

And I for one love the disco dancing gobby one!

make of it what you will. I thought maybe it meant that for a while the lines don't register while they count the votes but I don't know ??
I was all puzzled 'till another FM gave a fantastic explanation yesterday. They basically said that although all votes cast do count those cast between when Claudia/Paddy says "the lines are now closed" and "the lines are now open again" i.e during the results show, votes cast then (obviously) do not count, but you may still be charged.

Woop, keep the Colin support up people!

Hope he survives another night.....according to the BBC website, he is singing:

Spoiler

Which could go either way for him.......

Good luck to him

I find him incredibly arrogant and aggressive. He has no place in the contest, he can't sing, lacks humour or charisma and offers no support to his comrades. He loves the sound of his own voice but has nothing to say of any interest, he is the Leo Sayer equivalent of this show.

Are you watching the same programme as me ??

Colin has both charisma and a wicked dry sense of humour he offers genuine support for the others.
Whats wrong with being a gobby, cocky, git hes not being serious.
Im amazed that people dont "get" Colin. People are taking this thing way too seriously and need to chill.
Colin is great (although not a great singing voice hes a DJ for gods sake).
If Colin or Ray go it will be so boring with just the 3 needy people left who are soooooooooo desperate to win.

Yeah, the guy's dead on and a fellow Belfast bloke so he gets my vote. Loved his story last night about Paul Rankin (local Belfast celeb chef).

I thought Colin was fab last night, im a bit worried about him doing uchained melody though
I think hes just misunderstood.
IMHO the whole arrogant persona is just a front,
Im glad him and Tara are friends now too. The only thing i disagree with Colin about is that she is fake.

Agreed Anna, although I don't even get him being "arrogant". Self confident, sure, but he's a team player IMO.

Colin doesn't come across like he does on the radio. Much more shyer and thoughtful. Not demanding butlers like poor TPT and none of those crocodile tears

Sadly it's a Heat magazine loving, TPT fan forum I'm afraid.

Colin is doing superb. The only one putting the judges in their place.

there are several people saying things on this thread about how they don't like Colin...

My view is , Digital Spy etiquette says....an appreciation thread is for people who want to say nice things only...

So, if you want to say something critical, please do so in another thread.

I think "Colin and Tara" tonight was a masterpiece and that's why they both went through.......

I'm sticking my neck out here as not really liking the friction between him and Tara, but I would like a Tara/Colin final and the other two to disappear

I was so pleased Tara and Colin got the most votes. I really want them to be the final 2.
I think the judges are forgetting this IS for comic relief. Its not about the best singer or who will get a number one album its more about performances, who enjoys themself etc.. IMHO.

I noticed that Tara defended them both tonight. I'm glad they are getting on. Frankly Tricia and Shaun bore me and I think it would be a far more exciting final between Tara and Colin.

Colin was fantastic tonight - absolutely brilliant. It's been the performance of the night - he deserves to go through to the final.

Colin's voice sounded rather gravelly and lovely.
