It has given us some hilarious mickey-takes of "EastEnders"
since it started (several of which can be found on youtube)
and much has happened in EE since the last series in late 2004,
when Dirty Den's 'being indestructible' was satirised via "The Terminator".

Oh sure, we've still got plenty of "Harry Hill's TV Burp",
but even when he pretends to 'invade' certain episodes,
that is less funny than when "2DTV" presented surreal events
that couldn't possibly happen within any programme made in 'real' settings -
not to mention cast members' caricatures, such as Sharon resembling a pig.

So please, give us another series of "2DTV", and let us laugh at Walford even more.
Come on, it's easier (and quicker) to film than "Spitting Image"!

I used to love 2DTV. The shouting Slaters were always the highlight. I remember one where Corrie and EE tried to out do each other with extreme storylines and at the end Barry Grant came on on said "we done that on Brookie years ago"

I think 2DTV was one of the best shows. I especially like the depiction of George W Bush as a petulant child!! Unfortunately th eshow was often on very late and I missed a lot of programmes. I hope it is to be brought back!

I think this may have been posted in the wrong section, could you class 2DTV as a soap?

but agreed, it was very funny and I'm a fan of it too

There should have been a sketch along the lines of EE vs "Emmerdale" -
to think that, up until early 2005, the rural soap had NEVER beaten EE!

The first time I believe Emmerdale beat EastEnders, was on it's first one hour special, Episode 2000, in August of 1995.
