I can see Dungeness from the coast where I live on the South East Kent coast. It has a nuclear power station (currently being decommissioned) and a nature reserve. It's kind of in between Romney Marsh (now tell me you haven't heard of that!) and Camber Sands and it sticks right out into the sea. Goodness only knows why Kevin was there! It's not the sort of place that one accidentally gets off!
It's got a couple of good lighthouses though, and you can go up the old one for a small price Great for kids. The RH&D Light Railway (Romney Hythe and Dymchurch "little train", you know, the one you can ride on and wave at the cars and people as you go by - and they sit and get peed off with you for blocking their way...) stops there, it's at the end of the line. I guess it's the end of the line for a lot of people

P.S. I commend the OP on being able to spell the name, especially if he/she didn't even know it was real. I've lived here some years, and been there several times, and I always want to spell it Dungeoness (which it isn't).
