I only remember my town getting a mention as my friend shouted out "they just said Folkestone".

Funny it is near Beachy Head, the scene where Phil Daniels's character threw himself off there in Quadrophenia ”

I suppose it's near it in the same way that Manchester is next door to Liverpool

Random info:
Did you know that Beachy Head is a really famous place for people jumping off the cliffs, long before Quadrophenia? There's a part of the cliff which is named "Lovers' Leap" because of a number of star-crossed lovers who have jumped off together in and attempt to spend eternity together?

I saw the lighthouse, and also that main road that seemed to run right along side the beach. Do people live there? Are there caravan parks/hotels there?”

Sparkle, if you take the RH&D light railway, whcih has stations in Hythe, New Ronney, Dymchurch and Dungeness, the between Dymchurch and Dungeness you will go past a number of the oddest little houses you will ever see. If there was ever really an old woman who lived in a shoe, then it was on Romney Marsh.

It truly is a very curious place, and makes me very curious about the people that live there. However, for some reason, I've stopped short of knocking on the door of the gingerbread house...

Wow, it sounds fascinating. Ive never ever been to the South coast, I suppose its so far away with me living in North Wales. The furthest south Ive ever been is London.

I would imagine the sort of people who chose to live there are people who are sick of the rat race and want to get away from it all and live somewhere isolated and peaceful. Part of me can understand why, lol
