Oh my God! What's happened to Carrie Underwood? She's lost quite a bit of weight and looks very skinny now.

As soon as the walked on stage I noticed she looked different. Her arms were boney and her legs looked like matchsticks. Her voice wasn't that good either. She was trying too hard and it sounded strained at times. She used to perform effortlessly before and was perfect in every way.

What is it with Hollywood and the thin, skinny look?

I thought she looked really skinny too.

I did think she shouldn't have worn those trousers because they made her legs look awful - she needed something with a bit of shape to it since she doesn't seem to have any.

I've downloaded some of the full high definition version (not the XviD) of American Idol and grabbed some images of Carrie.

I've increased the brightness a bit using PhotoShop as the stage was a bit dark (did they do this on purpose because they knew she looked a bit too thin?). This is the only alteration I've done.

Compare Carrie's arms with this image from 2005. The difference is quite shocking.

She did look totally different,and not really for the better.She was big but well proportioned when she won the show,but now she doesn't look healthy.But then a lot of it is about perspective...if the reverse had happened and she had gone from thin to robust,people would say that she let herself go and criticised her for that.It's a no win situation unfortunately.

She looked sooooooo much better when she was a little bigger.

Do you know I said the exact same thing to my husband this morning, he couldn't fight the tiredness last night and had gone to the land of the Nod before Carrie came on. She is very thin, not to mention 'polished' looking, a bit too thin though for my liking, she did look nicer with a bit of meat on her bones - but saying that, she does look every inch the professional now.

She looks too thin now. She needed to lose a few pounds but she's gone too far.

She was a little on the larger side and now is a little on the thin side, but nothing serious either way imo!

I didn't notice.

In all seriousness she is gaining weight again now which is good, in november and december when she was touring she was a lot skinnier so I think she is in control of the situation

I thought that too, and Kelly Pickler looked awful

I don't like or care about her as such but having got into this season of AI for the first time since it was on and knowing she won as a friend made me watch the final I was hgorrified when I saw her. Not really because of the weight thing, but her voice and song sounded awful. And she was so much rawer and sweeter before.

She won 2 Grammys and multiple Billboard and CMT awards recently and will sell her 5 millionth album his week so her voice is just fine for more people than any other reality star anywhere with their first album.

I have to agree that she looked absolutely terrible. She looked really anorexic.

I thought she had gone the other way though, a bit big, and not just the tits. Fantasia looked dreadful as well. Both wore really unflattering dresses.

I thought Carrue sounded fine, although her music isn't really my sort, I didn't mind the song. She did look a bit awkward on the stage though, and could do with putting on a bit more weight. In one of the video clips, she looked great, a bit lighter since Idol, but not so skinny.

I thought she looked fine in her winning season of AI and didnt need any weight reduction but i guess in the world of media she had to

I thought the song, her hair, the dress....everything made her seem old and well....kinda frumpy
