Last night's episode was utter dross... the soap is so useless now, the worst of them all, bar none!! I tuned in for the 'hour special' and found it to be the biggest WASTE OF TIME ever.

Dead. it's a dead show.

I agree, It's gone down hill for me since Pauline snuffed it.

It's a shame it's in such a sorry state

I think people watch the show out of habit, as there is nothing else on at that hour (unless you count the hour long episodes of "Emmerdale") and perhaps they have the vain hope the show will get better.

I still believe the BBC should make a public apology and reward us with our licence, after THAT episode last night.

Although, it wouldn't surprise me that they resort to the tactic "Neighbours" has resorted to, and ask the fans to help write the stories. I bet you, most of the people that do send their own scripts in would resort to axing it.

Eastenders I agree was dissapointing last night but You can't argue that the past few months have been amazing. We've had Pauline's murder , Sonia and Martin's exits , May/Dawn/Rob which has hotted up now. And Also Kevin/Shirley/Restb of the family. Now Stella's turning nasty it can only get better !

Does anyone still watch it?--- I thought it was finished years
ago!! Good storylines haven't been used for ages....The old
show is dead--why don't they bury it before it decomposes!!

If people enjoy it then they watch it. It gets about 9-10 million viewers everynight so it's hardly signs of a dying show.

Last night was AWFUL!!!!!
EE has been on the decline for years but as a hardcore fan I still watch out of habit but last night I really feel has put me off.

To be honest it was so bad it shouldn't have been aired and that goes to show how bad the production is right now.

Eastenders will improve especially when there is a new producer in the house!

How many producers have they had in the past few years? Perhaps this is the reason why the show is so crap or Louise Berridge must have created such a big mess, it's probably beyond repair.

i am loyal eastenders fan but i must admit that last nights episode was the most boring bit of tv i've seen in a long while, they spent 1hr on a in my opinion very boring storyline.eastenders has some very good storylines apart from may/dawn/rob it should be better next week when this kevin storyline ends.

Eastender shas shown signs that it has improved since the start of summer - building characters relationships , backgrounds. It's great viewing except last night was quite dire

I agree. It wasn't very good but people are acting like every episode of Corrie,Emmerdale and Hollyoaks is nail-biting compelling viewing.

But the beauty of Hollyoaks, Emmerdale and Corrie is nothing can happen (events) and it is still entertaining, they have the humour etc...

My eldest used to watch EE religiously.
When she moved out we did not give it a second thought & never tune in to watch.
I always found it so depressing.

I didn't know what to make of it, really. It was ambitious but confused.

The dart business was fairly funny, if not hilarious. Like when Shirley asked Mo if she wanted another one up her khyber.

But not as funny as Corrie. Rita: I feel like death warmed up
Blanche: forget the warmed up

Why is everyone saying last night's episode was awful? I thought it was brillaint. People seem determined to sound the death-knell for EastEnders constantly on here.
