Carrie seemed so nice and natural on Safari School, but now seems to see herself as a major celebrity, rather than a singing coach.I watched a bit of the live streaming yesterday and noticed that, unlike the female celebrities, Carrie was wearing full make up and a trilby (?) hat a la Britney Spears, which is completely ridiculous under studio lights. Today, she has her top unbuttoned so far down that she might just as well not bother having it on, revealing her somewhat ample bosom. She is not the celebrity on this show, but is trying every trick in the book to get noticed. Including a mini dress and leggings the other night. She is a 40 something year old woman for goodness sake.(Mind you, it must have worked because I'm complaining about her )

Carrie and David are more than vocal coaches these days. They work in "Business Management Training". Their website seems to be two years out of date, but it gives some idea of what they do.

She's always been like this on CFA. Almost unrecogniseable on Safari School.

Both her and David were performers before being singing teachers.

She's doing a job, turning up for work smart with her own style. If she looked a mess and arrived in jogging pants and bagy t-shirt she would have similar derogatory comments. She can't win, but to me after seeing her doing Fame Academy for years she is just being herself.

She's always had a 'big' fashion sense, wears lots of outfits and I think she looks great myself! She's a performer, she's on TV, this is showbiz, she dresses up .. no great surprise there.
She gets shown in her rollers etc so i don't think she is totally over the top at all

I didn't really see Safari school but to me it would be natural not to be dressing up and wearing loads of make up on Safari, it's just a different envronment.

ok I know what you mean but don't be ageist! She looks amazing - so good luck to her - she has enough men drooling over her so she can't be that bad - I guess she feels that if you've got it flaunt it!

Yes, I agree she's great and has a wonderful figure. Its just the female celebs are bare faced in lessons and Carrie is, in what appears to be full war paint and wearing clothes undone too far. Quite unnecessary. I'm not saying she shouldn't wear make up to work, but perhaps a bit more subtle during the day. She would look even better leaving something to the imagination.

Hasn't Carrie just had a baby? I know she was very heavily pregnant on another singing show.

I think she is fantastic and both she and her husband are better singing coaches than John and CeCe from pop idol

Hi

Just to let you know Traffic Carrie has crohn's disease which is an inflamation of the intestines saw an interview she did with Lorraine Kelly just before she had her third child (which was recent) at that point she had been surviving on a liquid diet.

Perhaps being ill she doesn't look to good without make up?

Think her and David are great

By the way Tara rocks she's costing me a fortune and last night I had to vote for Mel as well

I would say that is a good thing, personally She looks great, and sad though it may be, is one of the main reasons I watch the show

I've always liked Carrie - ever since the first FA. I'm not so keen on her husband, but they both do seem to come across as lovely people.
However, when I saw Carrie in her trilby hat during rehearsals, I did think she looked a little overdressed .

Melodybear - This may seem the most random question ever, but are you a dance teacher?

I think Carrie is a fantastically cool woman. I think her look and her fashion sense is fantastic. Both she and David are really good at what they do and can practise what they preach too. They were both great on that Musicals show with John Barrowman etc. I wish that would come back for another run actually.

The only reason I ask is because my dance teacher has a teddy bear dressed as a ballet dancer to help the little children she teaches with their dance, and it's called - you guessed it Melody bear!

I've been meaning to ask you for ages, ever since I saw you in the showbiz forums...never once occured to me you might be either a dance student or nothing to do with the thing

Well, well, how strange! No, I finally got to that name after everything else I tried was already in use....I'm also too old to be a student...unless I was a mature one.
