XDA Orbit use with Tom Tom?
winny
10-03-2007
Hi

I'm looking at getting an XDA Orbit, which is equipped with built-in gps hardware, apparently geared towards Co-Pilot.

I currently hard an MDA Vario with Co-Pilot and specifically don't want to use Co-Pilot any more. Does anyone know if the Orbit will run with Tom Tom instead?

Thanks, Paul

Yep sure does but not sure if its perfect .
A friend of mine has his orbit tomtom'd up and it works reasonably well .

A word of warning though , it loses the voices and he keeps having to reload them , not sure of the details as i've not got it myself . Maybe TomTom themselves will have some patches available soon

Thanks Kev, that is useful to know. I might have to look for an alternative integrated device.
