Making a change from the sex-themed threads I'm making a CD for my friend of really shite cheesy songs. Anyone got any tips on track ordering, etc? I'm rubbish at this kind of stuff.

This should probably go in the music forum but to me it seemed a more general thing, sorry if it is in the wrong place though!

As it stands:

The One And Only - Chesney Hawkes
Grace Kelly - Mika
U Can't Touch This - MC Hammer
Satan Rejected My Soul - Morrissey
Barbara Ann - The Beach Boys
Superman - Lazlo Bane (Scrubs theme)
Chelsea Dagger - The Fratellis (not necessarily cheese but she doesn't have it)
Dive In - Darius
Mr Blue Sky - Electric Light Orchestra
I'm Into Something Good - Herman's Hermits
We Are The Winners - LT United (Lithuania Eurovision 2006!)
I'm A Believer - The Monkees
Dreaming Of You - The Coral (see Chelsea Dagger)
Life Is A Rollercoaster - Ronan Keating
Living On A Prayer - Bon Jovi
Hey Ya - Razorlight
Colourblind - Darius
All Star - Smash Mouth (Shrek theme)
I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) - The Proclaimers

They don't qualify as cheese, they are something below cheese that's instantly forgettable which I can't remember what it's called...

Ah well I'm playing the CD through to see how it sounds. It's ok so far! Well, as ok as it can be with those songs...

And they all came from my own private collection

My favourite part of the lyric is:

Mister blue, you did it right
But soon comes mister night creepin' over
Now his hand is on your shoulder
Never mind I'll remember you this
I'll remember you this way

I wonder if the whole thing is allegorical?

That used to be my favourite song when I was just a wee nipper, and didn't know any better.

Just about all mainstream music from the 1980s.

And any song Jeff Lynne's beard had anything to do with.

Now this is my kind of music!

I love all those tracks! I have so many CDs just full of that kind of thing.

Let me look through my record collection to give you some suggestions…

PJ & Duncan — Let's Get Ready to Rhumble
Rick Astley — Never Gonna Give You Up
Aqua — Barbie Girl
Bachman Turner Overdrive — You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet
DJ Sammy — Heaven
Destiny's Child — Independent Woman Part 1
Bob The Builder — Mambo No 5
Mr Blobby — Mr Blobby
DJ Otzi — Hey Baby
Billy Ray Cirus — Achey Breaky Heart
Busted — Thunderbirds
MC Hammer — Addams' Groove
Steps — Tragedy/One for Sorrow/Better Best Forgotten etc.
Europe — The Final Countdown
Rednex — Cotton Eye Joe
Grange Hill Cast — Just Say 'No'
Wham — Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go
Teletubbies — Teletubbies Say Eh-Oh!
Cheeky Girls — Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)
The Woolpackers — Hillybilly Rock Hillybilly Roll
Kylie Minogue —anything before 1994
Black Lace — Agadoo

But, in my opinion, the ultimate cheesiest song ever made (even cheesier than Agadoo) is…
S Club 7 — Reach

Even I can't bear it. And I love cheese!
