Comic Relief? The only (deliberately) funny one was Mel. I can't see this Ray Stubbs thing, Colin is boorish, Angelica turns on the waterworks and is probably more nakedly ambitious than any of them, and Tara wants to grow up. She is a "celeb" only by means of her privileged background and her contacts. Vulnerable? spolit brat more like.
Tricia and Shaun are bound to take this more seriously because they have reasonably good singing voices. Shaun comes across to me as quite shy, but I do think he has the best voice there. Tricia sings OK but whereas Shaun has got better, Tricia has not. Personality-wise it's all a big front. All of them.
As for what's boring, well yes, bad singing can be funny at first, but after a while the joke wears off.”
I agree with practically everything you say, except that I quite like Tara in spite of myself. She is spoilt, as you say, and is certainly very high-maintenance, so I certainly couldn't live with her, but I have a taste for the eccentric and, for me, that's her appeal. Her singing is dreadful, though.
If there weren't at least one or two people who could hold a tune in what is essentially a singing contest, it would just be unwatchable for me, especially since the 'comedy' content is embarrassingly unfunny.
