Well I'm going to give Shaun an ounce of credit . At least he was more honest with his vote tonight and went for the best performance, unlike Tricia and Tara who voted who they get along with most.

Mind you, that said, I don't blame Tara for not voting Colin as they clearly haven't been getting on.....but Tricia? She's two-faced as well as boring

Comic Relief? The only (deliberately) funny one was Mel. I can't see this Ray Stubbs thing, Colin is boorish, Angelica turns on the waterworks and is probably more nakedly ambitious than any of them, and Tara wants to grow up. She is a "celeb" only by means of her privileged background and her contacts. Vulnerable? spolit brat more like.

Tricia and Shaun are bound to take this more seriously because they have reasonably good singing voices. Shaun comes across to me as quite shy, but I do think he has the best voice there. Tricia sings OK but whereas Shaun has got better, Tricia has not. Personality-wise it's all a big front. All of them.

As for what's boring, well yes, bad singing can be funny at first, but after a while the joke wears off.”

Spot on! I agree with everything you say.

The bad singers remind me of the early days in Xfactor, the so called comedy singers. Thats why I never watch it then as its boring after a while.

Yeah sort of quoting myself about bad singers and the joke wearing off, anyone remember Peter Brame from Fame Academy 2?

Tricia's vocal tonight showed up the problem ...it might be in tune but it's a really characterless voice - like a club singer. Big eyes, big smile and bouncing about ...plus she doesn't handle negative comments at all well.

I've got more time for Shaun. He came in, like Tricia, with a comfortable act and his "good" voice , but slowly he's begun to push himself. I think his vocal has really opened up.. he's a trier... Plus he seems to take the criticism on the chin.

I just wish Miranda/Mel/ Tim had been about for a bit longer - there's a real need for some fun and comedy to balance out all the tears and desperation.

I agree with that, too. Anyone who thinks that Shaun hasn't improved markedly as the show's gone on isn't listening. When you're good to start with, improvement is less noticeable, but listen carefully. Sometimes with Shaun Williamson you have to close your eyes and listen, but it's there!

Tricia's an OK singer, but hasn't got better. Everyone seems to have peaked now.

He really has improved. At the start he obviously had a good voice and knew what he was doing, but his performances now are on another level.
