Recommend a 37" or 42" flat panel TV?
Hi, I am looking to identify a 37" or 42" flat panel TV (LCD or Plasma) to buy, new or used.
Idea is to get good picture, but hope to keep costs down, which is why used is an option. Ideally 720 resolution. I want to go up from 480, but I dont feel 1080 is needed or affordable for me right now. I have heard that Panasonics are very good. If money was no object I would probably buy one new, but are there used ones I should look out for? Or any other brands/models that are good value with 720 resolution? And what is the best price one can hope for? Last edited by Osamede : 11-03-2007 at 09:55. |

Is there a PX700 model as I really want the SD card slot, plus other enhancements. I also want the 50" model, so I would really like to know when this version is out. Probably looking at £2000 to buy

The PX700 will be available shortly after the PX70 release and will have all the enhancements you require.
So hold your cash for the time being. |

I was going to wait anyway. I am working loads of overtime at the moment and saving the money. Hopefully it's not too much over £2000 and then I can get it in early May (if it's out by then), otherwise might have to do some more overtime... then again I do want a Sky HD box and a Nintendo Wii as well

Osamede, I bought this recently. Can't fault it so far.
It's dropped £20 since last week, so I suppose it's discontinued or about to be, but everything is out of date in 24hrs nowadays anyway ![]() Good service and delivery when promised too. Last edited by lumpbottom : 13-03-2007 at 21:21. |

The PX700 will be around £1500, so you should be able to afford the Sky HD box and maybe squeeze in the Nintendo Wii too. |

I take it that will be the 42PX700, as I have now set my sights on the 50PX700. I can't wait till I get it!!

Can anyone tell me the differences between the PX60 & PX70, apart from cosmetics & price? I'm looking at a 37", if that makes any difference.
Much appreciated. |

Much appreciated. I dont think there is . . . . I bought a 42" TH42PX60 with stand yesterday for £900 because it was "Silver" and Black is the new errr black. Most of my home cinema kit is all silver (and SONY) so a black TV would of been daft. |

The 70 has the new 1080p processing althoughthe screen is not 1080p. Also the panel is the 9 generation not 8th. Basically a newer machine with improved parts/performance.
