According to the People newspaper today it looks like Debra Stephenson will be doing SCD 5

She was one of the names on our wish list emailed to the Beeb

Debra Stephenson does EVERYTHING! She'll probably be good, but there seems to be a new breed of 'celebrity' who crave all the attention etc that the new celeb reality shows bring, over and above their main claim to fame. And the paycheque I guess. Oo, get me, Mrs Cynicism! Being a bit more fair, I suppose its the 'performance' gene.

Never mind Debra. What about Steve Davis?
Incidentally, does anyone know if he has a middle name? If he has, and it's Charles or Colin, or something beginning with C, then he simply HAS to do S-C-D.

Debra and Anton would be a probable pairing.
I don't know if Steve Davis has a middle name but I'd enjoy watching him.
Suspect he'd be good at the ballroom

Just checked the birth registrations, and no Stephen/Steve/Steven registered with a middle initial of C in the relevant quarter/year. (Provided, of course, that Wikipedia have his date of birth correct. )

Has this merely been speculated that she would like to do it, or is it more concrete than that?

What other reality stuff has DS done? Oh she was on The Friday Night Project I think.

I think Debra and Anton would be good, and it might mean Anton wins at last!

She was on the Fame Academy that Edith won. She also sang ' in concert' with Bradley Walsh for some ITV programme. She's got a good singing voice and I guess she'd be a competent dancer. Yeah - she'd be good with Anton. Not with my ickle Vincent though. Don't know why - it just has to be someone extra extra extra special for him! Altho, perhaps I could allow her the honour

Oh goodness yes she was! Doh!

I don't think she should get to do another reality show then. I think they should get the person that plays Carmella or Rosie in Neighbours on.

Surely Gaby Roslin is a definite for the next series. Also, as Greg Rusedski is likely to be retiring from playing tennis after Wimbledon this year I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him as one of this year's sportsmen.

Think you could be right about Greg! for no known reason his wife irritates me

Really wish they'd leave me in charge of who to pick!

I'd be happy for you to be in charge dd Partic if you find bl**dy G Roslin and sundry sportsmen's wives as annoying as I do (the gracious Mrs Ramprakash excluded, of course!)

You might be out of luck with Greg Rusedski. The DOI forum have started discussing who they want on the next series, and Greg (and Tim Henman) have been mentioned.
For some reason they don't seem to want Fiona Phillips as the token newsreader.
