Messages of support please to show our dismay at him being cruelly voted out on Friday night.

Now the show is definitely lacking something and its quite obvious what it is. It's the Tim Vine effect.

He had the best voice and his performances were some of the best we've seen so far - Lucky Number One was stupendous

He was a breath of fresh air and was taken out before his prime.

I think he was the victim of a tactical vote by Tricia, Angellica and Zoe. I feel Tricia is so desperate to win that she voted to get rid of the serious competition.

Mind you I thought her, Zoe and Angellica saving Mel was girls sticking together. Pathetic

The moment of tragedy.

Hear the crowd cheer with rapturous joy when Richard picks Zoe

Love to see Tricia booted out

Listen to the groans in that clip. I have to say I;ve never seen such a load of ambitious contestants this time. Charity my arse.

Yup! Just want to agree with the OP - Tim was funny and could sing- that's what Comic Relief is about.

I'm missing him already! Now I'd like Mel or Fred or TPT to win but, let's be frank, none of them can really carry a tune in a bucket!

I'm not sure that he had 'the best voice' but certainly his overall performance was the best of a mediocre bunch.

He was so commited to the whole exercise and his enthusiasm was infectious. They shot themselves in the foot allowing him to go so early - as you say, a breath of fresh air - without the desperation for fame!

I loved his voice and especially the way he was so good at adapting it for different types of song. He was the only one of the contestants who had a good voice, could sing AND was entertaining... a huge loss.

Exactly Jackiebo - Tim was Guinness World Record Holder for telling 499 jokes in an hour (Richard Park catching up fast though eh ) and he deserved to stay for Comic Relief. What on earth did the Blue Peter presenter have that was any better than Tim ? Aside from looking better in a dress of course Richard...

A real shame that Tim went out. As others have said he is what Fame Academy is all about. He could sing and also give a great performance

I was really stunned he went out - I honestly thought he'd be in until the end, even if he didn't win.

I felt so sorry for him because he was obviously quite taken aback himself that he didn't get the votes from the public.

I think that people thought he was safe and swtiched to save Fred, the other male comedian. Pity that Fred voted for Mel and effectively put Tim out: if it had been a draw I think Tim would have had the edge in the public vote.

Agree with everything above. Tim, you were robbed big time

I thought it ironic that Park was all over Mel this afternoon and stressing the importance of the comedy. Me thinks he got a bollocking from the BBC for booting out Tim.

I thought it was nice that Kevin said tonight he'd expected Tim there at the end.

Nothing to do with girls sticking together. Mel stays because one of the males votes for her. If you have to choose comedians or have to choose who is improving or who contributes most to the chemistry of the house Mel is a perfectly rational choice.

The tactical vote that matters is the public voting for Fred or Ray or Angellica.

The other vote that matters is Richard opting for Zoe .

After those two ridiculous votes the students have to make the best of a bad job.

I'm totally gutted that Tim got kicked out. He was the best combination of good singing and entertaining comedy. Sadly he was a victim of the judges' bizarre bias towards Angelica, which I suspect they are regretting after tonight. Tim's performance of Lucky Numbers was the highlight of the series for me. HE WAS ROBBED!!

Its happened again tonight. What a cock up. I'm gutted Mel's out. I so wanted Mel and Tim in the final.

It was a shame that Tim went out for me.
He made me smile and I liked the way he performed.

Like others have said he had the right balance of humour and performance ability for this show.

A bit of luck comes into the final vote between judges and the fellow performers though and it depends on who you're up against in the final three.

I just wish he could have carried on as I think he could have and would have given so much to this series.

I know. We've lost my 2 favourites now.

Another funny one bites the dust as Mel goes
Has anyone found Tim's Lucky Number One on video yet?
I can't find it anywhere.
Would like another look if anyone has a link - thanks

What completely annoys me is Richard Parks. The man is completely tone deaf, David Grant was so correct last night when he stated the fact that he can't tell the difference between out of tune and out of time is worrying.

I was speechless when he chose Zoe over Tim, but then given time to calm down, I realised, well Tim doesn't have boobs

The man's an utter moron, does he believe that his being controversial just to be controversial is turning him into a Simon Cowell type. Someone should inform him that at least there is some truth and substance in what Cowell has to say even if he doesn't always say it in the best way possible.

This is the man who had a downer on Tim because he sang a song that he had never liked, nice reasoning them (Still at least Tim pointed out to him that he neer wrote the song!)
Richard Park is let down by his inconsistancy, I mean Ray Stubbs just cannot sing!!

Anyway anyone missing Tim, buy his DVD to console yourself, there's some good bonus stuff on there of him at home etc. He really does seem like a nice chap!!

It's not just about missing Tim, though I do as he was probably one of the best.

I've really gone off the show because of Richard Parks, he never makes any sense whatsoever, why is he there? What are his qualifications to judge a singing competition?

As for Ray, even he is shocked nightly by Richards gushing about how wonderful he is. The man knows he can't sing, yet Richard bigs him up every night, (aside from last night). Does Ray have something on him

I'll have to calm down, I've even begun to like Patrick Kielty because he has no time for 'The Moron'

You're not alone! Kielty might be smarmy and sycophantic but at least he knows when Park is taking absolute tosh

David was almost in tears last night - or maybe he was actually in tears - at the unfairness of it all. Park can say whatever he likes, express his own views, as long as it all makes some kind of sense, and that above all, it is fair. It's impossible to fathom where he's coming from, unless he's been given instructions from above. How he can expect the viewers to give him more credibility than David and Carrie when it comes to the actual performance

You're feeding me now

The problem is, his comments never make any kind of sense. If he is being given instructions from above, he's very bad at making his comments sound credible

He's constantly slating Tricia, and whether you like her or not, you have to admit she's probably the only female who actually can sing in tune. What's that all about? He continually says she's out of tune, and then went on about her saying 'you' instead of 'ya' to rhyme with pneumonia

If only someone could give Mr Kielty a wet fish
