Does everyone cringe when the word swing is mentioned little place for it and serves no purpose, yet every reality singing show, we have to endure it for one show, at least we will get rid now thanks.

Hi, I'm not sure what the official definition of swing is, but am I right in thinking that neither of the first two songs tonight (That's Amore and Move Over Darling) are swing songs anyway? Anyone know how swing is defined?

'Walk On By' wouldn't be 'swing' under pretty much any definition of the word............

I don't think 'Move Over Darling' would be either.........

That's what I thought! We're now five songs in, and not one of them have actually been swing. Why doesn't someone mention this on the show?

Neither is Tara's song. Apart from the odd song, I find it pretty dull (swing, that is).

I didn't think that any of tonight's songs were particularly 'swing'. When I think of swing, I think of the songs from Robbie's and Westlife's albums - Mack the Knife, That's Life, Come Fly With Me, Ain't That A Kick In The Head, Let There Be Love, ... . Very bizarre song choices tonight!!!

I think it was more "easy listening" than swing as at least two of the song last night were written by Burt Bacharachm the King of Easy Listening

I always think of swing as being big band music tbh.

I don't hate swing in general, but I loathe some of the songs used last night, "Puttin' on the Ritz" and that horrible "pizza pie" one in particular. Nauseating.

I suppose they would argue the songs are done in a 'swing' style. Perhaps next time, we can have easy-listening with a reggae beat...

I always think of Bobbie Gentry as a country/pop singer (her's is the most famous version of 'I'll Never Fall in Love Again', I'd have said).

I love most of the songs that were 'sung' last night (whether you call them swing is another matter). Shame most of them sounded so terrible.
