TV Boosters
Hi i have just bought a TV card for my computer, the reception i get on an indoor aerial is adequate, but i was thinking about getting a tv booster.
Has anyone used any and how much do they actually improve the signal? Or are they just a gimmick? I was specifically looking at the Lab gear ones from Argos. |

As has been mentioned elsewhere on these forums, a booster not only boosts the signal, but also any associated interference.
So yes they can help, but the best thing is a proper (i.e. not cheap) well directed aerial Ian |

I use one to improve the signal power to my upstairs tvs as they are both powered off the same aerial. They work quite well but as mentioned they do also accentuate imperfections aswell. It's definately better that without in my opinion.
So my advice would be, yes there fine for general use, but don't expect miracles. |
