I must say that some of Tara's distractors must have lead perfect lives, if they have to harp on her past mistakes to try to validate their argument.

I take that as a good sign, the 'haters' must be getting worried

I like Tara and wish her no harm, but I'm sick of all the vitriol her fans are directing towards the other CFA students.

Oh yes! It's always the same on here when somebody gets overwhelming support.

Their singing is/was better? No, I don't think so (apologies to fans out there for what follows, but it's my opinion)

Bob D - nasal whine, now a throaty rasp

Morrissey - boring drone

Gallaghers - whiney and nasal/droning

What made/makes them good is their delivery, style and enthusiasm.

And take a look at Frank Sinatra - in my opinion he invariably sang flat. But he had a unique easy style, and made every song his own.

What I am saying is that you don't need to be note-perfect to be judged "good".

Again, apologies for the apparently "destructive" critiques of the singers listed.

Would you have told him though? With the 'friends' he had?

I actually like Tara's singing, and particularly like her performances. It's the first time I've seen her acting in a controlled way on tv. Every other time Tara has been encouraged to be silly and spoilt. She said herself, in the first couple of days that the dicipline is the hardest thing for her, but she's stuck it out, and now I feel she is actually enjoying it.

Ok so she's not the best vocalist, but then this isn't the real Fame Academy, it's for Comic Relief and all of them have put themselves up for possible public ridicule in order to raise money....maybe we should remember that, and maybe someone like Tara or Angelica winning would be more fitting than the obvious best singer.

Yep, in my opinion he did. But his style made up for it.

Glad to see that some people are genuinely free of all prejudices.

What has her past got to do with anything. If you don't like her performances then fair enough - but don't judge her on what she has or has not done previously or the level of her bank balance - that's just showing your own prejudices.

What's the point in arguing with this person? It's obviously only a child with nothing else better to do.

It really beggars belief doesn't it?

Which others are better than Tara in your opinion? I'd agree that Trishia and Shaun are technically better singers than Tara, but her performances are more heartfelt. The other three are on a par with Tara vocally. Personally I prefer her performances to any of them. And what do you mean she has had everything handed to her on a plate? Sounds like a bit of reverse snobbery going on there and has nothing to do with her performances on FA.

Of course not. Do you think that I am stupid?

And what we forget (similar to Strictly Come Dancing), it's really down to everyone's progress, and how they have improved in the couple of weeks . No-one is saying that currently anyone (apart from perhaps Shaun) has a perfect voice - they are not trained singers, and have had less than two weeks of coaching.

How on earth would I know whether she has a drink problem or not? I don't know her - so unless you have some inside info I would suggest you haven't a clue either.

However, I think you are missing the point totally - ts irrelevant whether she chooses to spend her free time - its her performances on this programme we should be judging, not anything else that we know nothing about.

If you like her performances then great - if you don't then fair enough its all down to taste. But to actually come out with some of the vitriolic, ill-informed crap that is on this thread - which tbh shows some extremely narrow minded individuals - then we might as well not bother having any of these types of programmes, because everyone without fail who was on that stage tonight will have some baggage with them. It should be about their performances.

And you wouldn't be shocked if YOU were in that position (especially when Ray Stubbs had sailed through a second night in succession)?

Come on - be real. Are you telling us that you really believe that Ray is a better "singer", or that Colin's essentially falt, motionless singing rates more highly??

Or is the reality that you are taking delight in winding people up?
