Can I just ask a question?
What is it people like about Tara?
Is it her personality and on the live feed?
Because my God she has not a note in her head!
Her performance last night was shocking!! I am thinking people are voting for her in an ironic sense because she's the worst? or am I missing something??

Admittedly her first performance last night was not as good as her second (in the sing-off), but for me it was her perfomance of 'Jolene' that made me a big fan of hers. I've said it before (and will probably say it again!) - I don't think even the great Dolly herself has ever sung that with such expressiveness.
And I now listen very carefully to Tara's phrasing in her songs, and she seems to bring something different to them.
I haven't watched the live feed, but from the clips I see of her on the main programme there's nothing about her to dislike and a lot to like - though she's obviously nutty as a fruitcake and would be hell to live with.
Sometimes it's impossible to actually put into words why you like someone/something, and other people will never understand why you just do. It's a bit like people's sense of humour - my dad and I have been in stitches at something whilst my mum has sat there without even smiling.

fair enough, so it's the phrasing people are voting for, I guess I didn't understand!
To me she hasn't a note in her head and because she looks so horrific too, it's just awful to watch/listen to. Thanks for explaining.
To me singing is about having a great voice and holding a tune, emotion is a wonderful added extra, but having just the emotion and no tune is unbearable for me.
I do admire her for getting up and having absolutely no shame, it takes a hell of a lot of guts to get up night after night and perform so badly.
I'd like Shaun to win. He is the best singer by far and also I haven't seen much of him on TV since he left EE. Think he deserves a break.

Without getting into an argument, can I ask you to please not twist my words.
You asked why people liked Tara - I gave you my reason - or one of them - for liking Tara. You should therefore not use the word 'people' which infers that other people are using the same criteria as me. They may or they may not be, but you have no proof.
(By the way, it was already obvious from your first post that you don't like her, so there was actually no need to labour the point in your second post.)

Tara, i find the emotion she puts into each song is great to see, my perception of her has changed enormously, she comes across as such a warm and likeable woman
TARAAs for why well i just think she is fun, i like her personality and the fact you never know what she'll do next.
And no she cant really sing all that well but she does great performance wise and unlike angelica doesnt take it too seriously and realises that at the end it is about comic relief
