A lot of my favourite early Verve tracks have been mentioned. I'll add another one: Gravity Grave. And these:

Baby Bird - If you'll be mine.
Sundays - Summertime
Elbow - Not a job

I have to agree with the Verve. Most of Urban Hymns is amazing.

I can't pick a favourite but 'Usually' by Trashcan Sinatras deserves a mention. Lovely mellow song.

Most of the "The Perfect Prescription" album by Spacemen3 ..... espcially, "Come Down Easy".

Now THATS what I call music to veg out by.

"All That Noise" by The Darkside was pretty laid back too.

I did, what a plank I am.

3 Colours Red-Beautiful Day. What a beautiful song and criminally ignored when it was out. Well remembered.

Would something like Puzzle by Lou Barlow count? Well anything from his Emoh album tbh. And Willing To Wait by Sebadoh. lol apart from Mr. Barlow, I don't listen to much Indie but maybe some Eels or Echobelly if you can count them as such.

Keane- Bedshaped (if you can count them as indie, but they certainly are mellow)
Snow Patrol- An Olive Grove Facing The Sea
Delays- Waste of Space
Coldplay- Yellow

Hmm that's all I can think of at the moment.
