Can't see anyone this year following her into the West End in a singing role.............

She's a really nice person as well - delighted she's got this.

Good for her! Isn't Shaun good enough for roles (not lead, handsome man roles) in the West End?

Fab news - my only surprise is that it's taken 2 years.

I wish I hadn't already seen Cabaret now, as I'd love to see Kim in it, but I didn't really enjoy the production enough to see the show again. At least I got to see Sheila Hancock.

Thanks for that - I'm also very pleased for her - thought she came across as a very genuine person and has a fantastic voice

Think he'd make a good 'Mr Cellophane' from Chicago . . . although probably doesn't need a good voice for that. Something from Guys and Dolls . . .

Regarding Shaun, I was seriously going to suggest Les Miserables, in which I think he would be really good, but perhaps it's too close to reality!

Hee. It's his face, he can't help it if he looks like a depressed basset hound. Shame TS Eliot didn't write about dogs.

I do like him, though, he's got a great voice and he's sort of cute - must be getting REALLY old! He reminds me of that guy in the Sopranos, can't remember his name.

Shhhhhhh. I like him too. He's easy to understand, not a complicated guy. Quite like Tricia for the same reason.

I am warming to Shaun a person. I thought he was miserable and taking it too seriously during the first few days or so, but he seems to have lightened up and seems to be really enjoying himself.

I think it probably takes him a while to relax with people he doesn't know. I'm the same.
