Although I agree that there are poor people struggling who also deserve our sympathy, I don't see why it has to be an either/or situation. Just because Tara was born into money, doesn't mean she doesn't have troubles and giving her my sympathy or empathy really doesn't cost anything. |

She never entered my rader before this show. I even watched the first 'Im A Celeb' series and never really thought about her, but - wow! - I love her on this.
She can't hold a note (NONE of them can), but she conveys so much emotion in her voice and delivery. Plus her choice of song is immaculate. |

Why some people thinks that for been rich she needs to be happy and content???
That is what I call prejudice Rich/poor/black/whiteis that important for you???? Not for me... She moves me and for that reason a vote for her... Shaun and Tricia are good singers but they do not makes me want to pick my phone and vote for them... last night their duet was soooooooooooo cheese. Tara have her soul in her eyes, when the camera zoon in her eyes you can just see everything that she is felling.. that is what is important and moust of all IT IS ALL FOR CHARITY .

I think she gave a concert at the Albert Hall(?) which was quite well received.

And without necessarily having a good voice, anyone that can play a musical instrument reasonably well ought to have a basic ability to hold a note. It just goes to show that if you can get yourself in the papers often enough you can be a star without actually doing anything. She might be more refined and so on, but she's no more use than Jade Goody, or a chocolate fireguard... As for the theory that someone who can play a musical instrument should also be able to sing, well, that doesn't follow at all. The voice is an instrument, too. Numerous composers of the 20th century have been able to play piano brilliantly without being able to hold a note physically, and do you think all musicians in orchestras can also sing well? What would be the odds of that? And it works the other way too. How many wonderful singers do you think can also play instruments? Yes, some can (singer/songwriters); but not all of them. Musicality comes in all forms. I can dance really well. Doesn't mean I can sing too or play a musical instrument (I can't). You're confusing being utterly tone deaf (which obviously musicians aren't) with having a good, strong voice which is capable of making songs sound beautiful (or sometimes, in some cases, overblown! Citing no examples here of course ... ). The two are totally different. Tara also has no confidence in her voice, so that doesn't help.

But I don't think Tara has ever asked for sympathy has she? Think she quite freely admits that she's made huge mistakes in the part, and she is very open and honest about her privileged upbringing. In fact, I think she is probably her own worst critic. However - IMHO she is an absolute right to appeal for people to judge her on the person she is - not her background or how much money she has in the bank. There is an unpleasant type of inverted snobbery in this country that means people just take an automatic dislike to anyone they perceive has been born with a silver spoon in their mouths, and to my mind, it's a bad as being bigoted against someone for their sexuality or their religion. IMHO you cannot possibly pre-judge someone wealthy as 'spoilt' or idle rich, just as you cannot suggest that everyone who was born on a housing estate with a bad reputation is 'chav scum'. Think everyone should be given an opportunity to show the essence of their personality before people start labelling them because of their background. Fair enough if you don't like Tara because she's a bit emotional or daft (qualities that I find endearing - and would do in anyone - whatever background they came from). Fair enough if you despise her because she was a former drug user (although that probably means you despise a good section of the population) - but to condemn someone for being wealthy is just plain silly. |

I can't believe how many people think Tara could make it as a professional singer. She doesn't actually sing she just talks. She completely ruined Somewhere Only We Know when she sang that. She isn't funny in the slightest and there is no way she deserves to be in the competition at this stage. It's COMIC relief! Where are the comedians? Bring back Mel and Tim I say! It's just a pity that most of the country disagree with me!

Don't think people are even thinking that she could make it as a professional singer. It's only the likes of Tricia or Shaun who thought they could have singing as another point on the c.v. Tara will always be known as an it girl, she knows it, the majority of the public know it. She came she sweated for England, she cried, she sang with feeling, bad notes, forgotton words and looked a right state for the majority of the time and that is why she should win. |

I personally couldn't care less who wins as long as Comic Relief benefit. I will say however that it seems a foregone conclusion that the winner will be Tara. The GBP tend to go for mad people and she sure is mad. I would have thought that she had got over her "acceptance" thing when she was voted runner up in I'm a Celebrity. Anyway she can't sing, but is entertaining to watch. Trish I just think is in it to try and develop another career away from Heartbeat.

It was meant to be a joke - meaning her dad could have his finger on the redial button all night voting for her and not have to worry about the cost of the phone calls. I am sorry if this caused you offence! |
