It's gone well enough for me to upgrade from base pack 8Mb to big pack 8Mb + Phone line + Anytime calls.

for me its all downward spiral. the admin team, homechoice team and rest of the gang says that I can have tiscali tv but the sales peoples say otherwise. does anyone have any idea how can I get the service. I am desperate due to listed building and conservation area rules. this is the only option.

please advise

Like we said in the last thread, you need to wait til Tiscali enable your exchange for new sign-ups. Only they know how long this will take.

This i cant understand if you already in the home choice area why cant they connect you all the exchanges are already enabled and HC equipment installed

Well I've got something to add!

Appently just because I have broadband (ie HOMECHOICE) aleady I can;t get the TV / Phone Line Rental / Broadband offer of £19.99!!!

This sucks anyone else have the same problem? when the put in their phone number into the check and currently have HC? All I get offered is the broadband / phone calls options nothing about TV or line rental!

I've called twice and they just say it will be £10 more to have line rental on top of my existing package taking it to £24.99 (ie: 2MB / TV Base Pack / Line Rental)

HOW MANY TIMES?! You can't get the Tiscali offers until they move the existing HC service at your exchange onto the Tiscali equipment. It will happen, you just need to be patient (how long it'll take is anyone's guess).

Thats because you are a homechoice customer and you are on a existing package so you will pay 10 line rental .As i do if you take the any time offer as well you will get free calls for all 01 and 02 numbers and the rest of you calls will be cheaper as well Tiscali customers will pay more for calls
See Here Also you can upgrade to 8Meg for £3.00
Also if you change over to a complete tiscali package you will fall foul of the fair usage policy wich HC customers are not stuck with

the 19.99 package thats actually 17.99 at moment is 8 meg plus base pack, for the unlimted calls its an extra £5.
nowhere does it say that includes line rental on either HC or tiscali and it never has.
Line rental has always been £10 extra.
the 8 meg base and unlimted was £32.99 with a further 10 for line rental now its on special at £17.99 for 8 meg and base plus a further £5 for unlimted and still 10 for rental total £32.99, £10 cheaper than pre march 1st and trhis is available to all HC customers as its the standard pack offered.
Tiscali as have yet not mentioned line rental and still states u have to be on a BT line, so in effect HC customers to get the full pack are better off than old Tiscali customers wo have to pay out a seprate BT line rental
Hope that clears it up a little as the whole site is a mess

Is my friend the only used-to-be-happy Homechoice customer on the Kensal Green exchange who hasn't had a TV service since the takeover? Broadband was iffy for a while but OK now.

CS have given up making excuses/promises and now say they don't know when it will be fixed.

I dont use the tv service and phoned cs and was offered 19.99 for 4mb and free evening and weekend calls. They said i coudlnt have the 8 mb service as it wasnt on offer for broadband only. very strange. Any comments?

I think you'll find it does include line rental! Look again at this link!!!

there is a big star highlighting line rental included!!!

thats been added recently but the pack is only evening and weekend calls and its not available for HC customers thats the tiscali pack which sucks. i spent two weeks every day arguing with HC cs and managers about the fact that any HC packs now take you to the tiscali website yet your not allowed as a HC customer to have those packs listed, its all one big joke. same as the 8 meg and phone only. thats not avaialble as a hc customer but is as a tiscali customer, the best HC can offer is 4 meg plus unlimited calls, again another screw up.
It looks to me like the only ones to get the packs they want at a fair price are currently existing or new tiscali customers and HC customers are being left out in the cold.
i got a new HC account cos they closed my old one by mistake yet im account details are still for the old one, god knows where the new one is, and you cant get access to packages or upgares with your HC account on the tiscali website, its like your HC account and the HC website doesnt mean shit anymore, its totally pointless giving no info other than to direct you to tiscali.
have you noticed too that now even the service status has been removed from hc's site, god knows where it is on the tiscali one but the whole damn things a mess
