Did anyone else see Jamie tune up the acoustic guitar completely by ear whilst carrying on a conversation with the others? If I'd been in there I'd have gone home in the face of such musical giftedness (it's a word)

JC was great last night, wasn't he? Was gonna turn over but stayed watching after he turned up. However re. the guitar, it's actually not difficult to tune a guitar to itself. Even i can do that.
Hope they show a lot of the JC bits tonight...

Well sure, anyone can - what I meant was he didn't use anything to tune the guitar to in the first place (ie the piano) to get an accurate E - just his ear! Most impressive
Jamie Cullum is a fantastic musician but tuning a guitar by ear isn't really that impressive.

?? Are you serious? You can hear a perfect note in your head and tune your guitar to it? Maybe it's just me who doesn't have perfect pitch then...

Most people don't, but a lot do... the frustrating part is that they're not always people who are particularly musically talented in other ways! Or maybe I'm just jealous.
