Carrie Is Spot On He Shouldn't Be On Stage
Instead he has made sure he gets the sympathy vote and takes somebody elses place in the next round. Another masterstroke from Mr Ray Stubbs.

You clearly ARE anti-Ray as you keep creating anti posts about Ray. He clearly is popular if you like it or not as has only been in the bottom three once.

I for one didn't wish to respond to that thread as I didn't want to contribute to a negative thread. This is all for 'charidee' let's not forget that and all lighten up. Thank you to all the participants including Ray (Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick was excellent fun ) , Tim (Lucky Number was fab), Mel (Woman in Love - comedy gold), Fred (he gave his all and I loved his Scottish accent coming through the songs) etc.

It's not Ray's fault he is popular with viewers, in fact I think he has been really shocked by it.
"Another masterstroke from Mr Ray Stubbs" what an incredibly stupid comment. How anyone could think this was in any way tactical is beyond me. The man is just being professional and giving it his best shot as he's done all the way through this competition. We get the message, you don't like him. But please accept that there are people out there who do. He isn't going for the sympathy vote at all. At the stage we're at now going up there and performing in that state was a big risk and I wouldn't be surprised if he still ended up in the bottom 3. He's in a very vulnerable position tonight and it would be naive to think otherwise. |

The person going for the sympathy votes is Tara and so was Angellica .But that is my feeling and I know others disagree ,Fine .It's a fun thing for CR . I reckon he was in there from the start to raise money for Comic Relief .He's never pretended he can sing .Nor can many who make thier living singing . I think he is great and so was Mel and certainly Tim . |

Differentdrum has every right to his/her opinion and if they don't like Ray Stubbs then they have every right to say it. I personally agree with everything they've said, as do an awful lot more.
As for Ray being that popular, well obviously he's not. I think the public were so fed up of him going through, with a dreadful voice and no charisma, that tonight people who don't normally vote actually voted, just so that the best people went through. Ray comes across as a very nice man but he should never have got this far, and I personally would feel guilty if I had a voice like his and stopped better singers getting through. As for Tara I think her voice is a lot better and she has such a great character and warmth that people obviously like. But if it is based on voice alone, which obviously its not, then it should be Tricia and Shaun. I'm shocked that Colin is through too. Will make his head even bigger. Yeah but its non stop non stop thread after thread post after post and I'd not be surprised if he/she joined with the intention of just rubbishing him come what may.
We all have our likes and dislikes, we just don't go on and on about it across every thread. As for him having no no charisma. Well I suppose he doesn't burst into tears, throw tantrums, get pissed after everyone else is gone to bed, slag off the judges etc, if thats charisma then I reckon he's better off without it. |

Fans of Stubbsy get to see him on the footie programme on Saturday. I hope the other guys have a good laugh with him about 'Comic Relief Does Fame Academy' as Ray's given me plenty of laughs and smiles. Thank you Ray for participating in this 'charidee' event!

No, you're wrong, thats not what charisma is.
Charisma is having a personality, having charm, having a special quality that makes them attractive, that makes people warm to them. Tara has this. I don't think Ray does. As for getting tired of the same threads, well thats what this forum is all about. You can write as many threads as you like, you don't have to read them if you don't want to. Just ignore them. Moving on. |

I thought he was a lovely guy and was like the daddy figure in the academy. At this stage I'm sorry to see any of them go out but tonight I would have liked Tricia to go out of all of them because I find her performance a bit predictable and soulless.

Well the moderators in charge of this board haven't deleted any of the threads so I guess it is ok.

It's only a cold though isn't it?
If I was Ray I'd carry on. It's only the show itself who are making a drama out of nothing. He's got a cold. To me it's a non-event. It might hamper his performance, but then again it might not because he wasn't any good to start with. ![]() But the show are hyping it up as though it's a major crisis. In The X Factor last year several of the contestants got a bug, but some of them didn't even mention it and not such a fuss was made of it. Ray seems pretty laid back about it really, it's the stupid show who are trying to make a big story out of something that is a non-story really. Not Ray's fault. |
