Has really become a very, very, good singer hasn't he?

Just watched the performance with Colin, Tricia and .... erm .... 'Barry'.

The first few lines from "Lullaby" (FA1) is possibly the finest 2 opening lines to a song I've ever heard. His voice is amazing, just a shame his songs aren't

Maybe they only wanted to include the great singers, like Colin

According to another thread, someone said she wasn't invited to sing with him. I didn't see the livefeed, but it seems unfair if that is the case.

Most of that song was written by Sinead and Ainsley ... cannot recollect that Lemar had any actual input ... although he took credit ..

Are you sure? I thought it was mostly Lemar who wrote that with a little help from Ainslie.

There was another song that Sinaed/Malachi/Ainslie co-wrote that Ainslie got the credit for that ruffled a few feathers at the time IIRC.

EDIT: The other song was called "Keep Me A Secret", I think.

I thought the song was good, mind you Lemar could sing the phone directory and sound good - He's got a lovely voice, reminds me of Seal.

ROTFL ... Lemar actually write a song ... nah - he was worse than usless

Even when they brought in real writers - they actually wrote Lemar's song for him ... he contributed nothing ...

Sinead especially was one mean song writer!

He didn't write 'if there's any Justice'. I'd be surprised if he wrote 'It's not that easy'. Anyone know?

I loved Lemar when he was in Fame Academy and wanted him to win - I am not at all surprised he has done so well - he has a gorgeous voice - and he seems like a nice guy as well.

Yes Sinead was excellent - I loved it when they did their composing bits in FA.

You're mistaken. Lemar came up with most of the lyrics and a melody then him and Ainslie worked on it until completion. I well remember the two of them working on it in the bedroom.

Sinaed wasn't involved in "Lullaby" at all.

BTW, I think Lemar is the most boring man on the planet so not a fan of the man or his music at all.

For all the showboating last night about Lemar writing 'It's Not Easy' the main composer credits for the tune are Lars Jensen and Martin Larsson. I imagine it was just one of those common instances of Lemar being in the room at some point when it was being written and contributing a couple of ideas to gain a writing credit.

This is seemingly the way that quite a few singers manage to gain some songwriting credibility when in fact they aren't really that good.

It was one of my favourites on the album. Don't know why he's added that backing track to it though... spoilt it imo.

Yeah Lemar had that concept before going into the academy. He sort of hummed it to the others and Ainslee came up with ideas for it. I absolutely love that song.

Lemar is a really talented young man.
