Where is the Fun?
So we are left with a male pub singer, a high pitched soap star, a truly crazy reality party goer and a cutting edge/dull radio presenter, trained by a skinny red head and her camp husband, judged by a pathetic radio chief exec, a dancer and a singing nun.
It sounds like it should be funny. But..... |

Last CFA was very different - it had both talented singers that were a pleasure to listen to and a huge comic element

It sounds like it should be funny. But..... Richard Park used to be a nun?

I don't expect fun to be generated on the night though, I think it comes from within the actual academy. Last night Colin and Shaun were doing endless Richard Park impersonations and I couldn't stop laughing!
The highlight of the whole series for me though was when Tim Vine was doing a run through of one of his songs in the afternoon and he had to flick the mic stand up with his foot, he completely messed it up and everyone broke about laughing. Yes it was one of those, 'you had to be there' moments... |

It sounds like it should be funny. But..... Well I'm enjoying it but I'm not much of a fan of comedy singing anyway. Ade Edmonson was good, but Ruby Wax was truly dreadful (and Jo Brand). There's no entertainment in watching comedians sing badly. Watching the improvement of the celebs over time with the tuition is interesting and what FA was all about in the first place. |

I think the students are there for the fun but the judges are waaay to serious!! Their critisms are so detailed and should be left for people actually wanting to make it in the music industry rather than raise money

The comedy element for me has always been watching live feed. I haven't really enjoyed the forced comedy/singing performances, especially after watching them stage and practice it all.
