Hi fellow sufferers!
Checked my messages last night to see what recordings had been missed, which was none for a change, but I did find a message from TUTV saying that I now had the latest software update. I can now opt to record the entire series of a program, which is handy. It also said that this should fix some ongoing software problems.
Hopefully all is well now?
I am a freelance journalist for "Computeractive" magazine and have logged all the problems I've had since taking delivery of the box in December '06, also the voice contacts with TUTV help desk. This may be appearing in the mag in the near future.
It's a real pity that we've had all these problems with the Thomson as it's such a good design and is very user friendly.
Hopefully all is well now? Watch this space!!

a couple of questions how is the update?

and does the box work as a normal pvr without the top up tv card?

I'd quite like to try it but its excluded from the argos 30 day trial period.

cheers

The new update makes it about 95% of the way there, still some skipping and freezes but all seem easier to deal with.
Swap button works, series system excellent and now using the back button whilst planning recordings make life very easy.
I have cancelled my sub as I never seemed to watch the dowloads, seen most of it or finding too many repeats.
It works perfectly well as a PVR.
It works with the card in or out.
I was told that any downloads saved into the library would work but they don't so watch before you cancel.
If the card is returned you are sent £6 odd back but I have retained mine in case I wish to reinstate as they told me that the downloads would be improved.
For the £100 it's a great box, nearly as good as my Hummy

£100? Argos still want £180!

Is it a twin tuner? Can you record 2 channels simltaneously? I take it it doesn't run as hot as the previous Thomson DHD4000?

Hi Guys & Gals - Sounds like Jimmy Saville! - Here's the latest on my DT1360. Well it's performing impecably: no crashes: no hanging: no missed recordings. Yippee!!!! Could it be that TUTV have now got it right?
How's everyone else getting on with their DT1360?

Isn't the model the Thomson DTI6300-16 rather than the above??
