My Nan and Gramps favourite show. I remember us all my mum and her sisters and the grandchildren all watching it. As a pp said required viewing

Strange how SCD has the same effect Nan and Gramps are no longer her, but mum me my aunts and cousins all still gather on a saturday to watch

I watched this on and off when I was really young. It might explain why a couple of the pros looked familiar

oh i loved come dancing when i was younger. i used to be amazed at the formation dances they did every week.

donniw was the scottish guy right? with the bad tan and black hair if i remember correctly? i used to love his dances as well! wonder where he went? i'd prefer him on the panel rather than len i think

i think it would be great even if they put it in the half hour slot that The One Show is in for a couple of weeks straight every night, i'm sure there would be more viewers for that rather than whats on now!

Yes I'd like to see it return. Would be interesting to see how successful it is.

Think it is too late to bring it back now - think the strictly format means the old come dancing or a 'proper' competition format would not work so well.

Well, They did that with Graham Norton's revival in 2005 and 06 but failed to win viewers

Strictly Dance Fever was horrible - mainly because of Graham Norton's nasty "let's poke fun at everyone" approach.

It was exactly the wrong sort of way to promote dancing. And it shows how much the choice of presenter matters, and how much it influences the entire tone of the show.

I agree but i don't think it is going to happen. The only time I remember proper competitions being broadcast were the UK Championships in Bournemouth in the early 90s (of which I still have the recordings).

Donnie and Gaynor performed in Holland on Saturday night in honour of his mother, for his 50th birthday and freedom in the dance world and the right to choose, it was the most amazing, emotional performance and an absolute treat to be there to see him dance. He then invited the whole audience to join in and take to the floor to dance one Rumba all together in honour of friendship and freedom. It was such a special moment.

I didn't watch SDF because of Graham Norton and I wouldn't watch anything presented by T Wogan either - the man has such a smarmy, condescending tone (I caught a bit of POV the other day and he does like to revel in poking fun doesn't he?)
