I'd like to see these two in the final. Shaun and Tricia are too into getting it all perfect. I thought the duo between Tara and Colin was hilarious. They really are the worst singers but great for what this show stands for...........comedy.... and not being technically good and taking their singing and themselves so seriously.

Don't get me wrong...Colin is annoying but he has a vulnerability about him as Tara does when he's on stage...probably stagefright by both of them. But it is exciting to watch.

For the quality of singing it has to be Shaun & Tricia, for comedy value and unpredictability it has to be Colin & Tara.

Take your pick.

I think the forum are pretty much split on this scenario. It depends on what you look to get out of a show like this.

Colin and Tara are by far the more controversial even on the livefeed. If they weren't on the show, there would be nothing else of interest to watch.

Definitely want to see those two in the final. I fear for Colin tonight though - I think Tara will probably get in.

I'm not a fan of Tricia's but yes that could be exciting to find out who is more popular and what wins out in the end.......i.e. techical against emotion

I guess my premonitions are all off tonight.

I'm quite happy that it is a Tricia/Tara final now and hope that Tara wins, but still think it would've been more exciting seeing Tara and Colin left in the Academy tonight with a final showdown tomorrow.

But heck..forget I said that...there's no Academy live streaming tonight. Why?

I'd have liked a Tara - Colin final. It would have ensured that someone at least a bit quirky won, and their relationship has developed in an interesting way.

The good singers are good singers, but neither reach the heights Kim and Edith did last year. Nor do they contrast in styles and abilities in the way Kim and Edith did; so it just wouldn't be so exciting (to me).

Veri, this is what was starting to interest me about the show...the Tara/Colin relationship. I wish the show was running longer in a real RTV way as I think they had a chemistry when they sang in duets. The fact that they were so disagreeable made it fun to watch how they were pitched together in a duet.

Good or bad chemistry...it worked and I think they genuinely tried to work together on the live show to ensure that neither of them was trying to upstage the other. But ironically, the other two did exactly that and did their best to outdo one another and it landed them in trouble when in technical terms, they should both have beat Tara.

It's just a shame that Colin showed other unpleasant sides to himself that the public couldn't take to...smugness, self-assuredness...who knows. But all in all, I would much have preferred him to any of the others against Tara tomorrow as he does have some human flaws and I much prefer that to perfection.

I agree. Last year I supported the "singer" Kim, but this year there has been no one nearly as good as her, so I have gone for the performances and person I like the most. Its an interesting contrast between this years and last.

I think the colin and Tara relationship would have been a real talking point had the programme gone on longer.

I didn't take To colin though and to be honest was glad he finished forth. He was quite unpleasant at times.
