Blue by Eiffel 65 was pretty irritating, had actually completly forgotten it until flicking through the music channels a couple of weeks back when magic had their 90's week.

That or anything by Celine Dion

I absolutely loathe that Whitney Houston song from that Bodyguard film. The way she warbles, wails and screeches just gets right up my nose. It's like "you've got a good voice but stop showing off".

All rap/hip-hop music makes me reach for the mute button too.

Barbie Girl by Aqua. Can't get more annoying then that.

There are scores of annoying songs, way too many to mention, but here's an opinion that may upset some people. Queens - Bohemian Rhapsody, i hate this song with a passion, it makes me cringe.

You and me both mate but I think we're in the minority. Whenever I say how much I hate that song (and Queen in general tbh) everyone seems to be shocked and think I'm joking. Most Elvis songs have me reaching for the off switch as well.

The most annoying song to me is "Its raining men". UGH.

I don't know whose "song" it is but it went "aciiiiiiiiiiid" in a high pitched screech. About 15 years ago.

And from around the same time "Ride On Time" by Black Box(?)
And every single so-called dance "tune" that is just a re-hash of a (usually) classic track from the 80's.

You maybe mean D-Mobs - We call it acid, although that scream i think was used in other tracks at the time. Enjoyed acid house myself, so cant agree on that one.

Coldplay annoy me immensely too. I'm not exactly sure why, I think its a bit slow for me, and its a bit depressing. Also, there is this hype around the band that I just dont see, I don't understand at all why people think they are so good. And that gets to me when listening to their music. And the fact that the songs all sound so damn similar.

I think that's a good point. Coldplay are OK but not THAT good. I don't find them offensive but I just don't see the big attraction. It's nothing new. Apart from the singles, the albums are dull and depressing. Maybe they're trying to be Radiohead.

Ok, this is going back..must be early mid 70's but not absolutely sure. These 2 are pretty awful

A group called Middle of the Road got to number one with 'Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep'

Neil Reid also had a hit with the vomit inducing 'Mother of Mine'.. later covered by Little Jimmy Osmond! Don't know which version was worst
