Just a quick note to say many thanks for these TV codes !

I now I have my virgin remote to control the volume on my AMPLIFIER - via the Head-phone OUT socket on the TV - SIMPLE !!!

I used a single 3.5mm phono (into TV head phone socket) to twin RCA Lead (into AMP Input) so that I can use the one remote to control volume and have great stereo sound for normal TV viewing (I use a separate optical cable for HD/ Movies).

Hello - I'm not sure what you're on about - you can't change the volume on the V+ box... are all your connections tightly in?

All together now - Oh yes you can ! (well as long as you have one of the newer black remotes)

'Customers with a black V+ Remote Control can now control the volume of TV SCART and RF output directly from V+ using their remote control. Note that if the remote control has been programmed to control the TV the customer needs to enter code 0683 to reset the remote control.'

regards

Brian

Can someone explain why the sound level goes to 'barely audible' when I turn onto BBC HD V+ box (Channel 108). This has happened on more than one occasion. If you turn the volume up to the top on the TV the sound is not as loud as normal. The picture is great!
Is this the BBC or is it Virgin Media? Has anyone else had this problem? I have a Samsung 32" LCD.

Does anyone know of any codes for Beko? The ones on the list Virgin provide don't work. It's a 32" LCD.

Thanks.

My question is slightly different. I'd like to know the code for the V+ Remote so that I can program my All In One controller and then use it in the kitchen through my sender.

I picked up the Kameleon 4 from Maplin for £15 recently. Managed to program all my kit (DVD, VCR, TV and V+) and used the learning function to control the volume on my amp. Nice piece of kit but eventually returned it as I couldn't get the PVR functions working.

I've noticed that the sound on BBC HD is lower than on other channels but not so low that I have to ramp up the volume to hear it. However so as not to digress from the topic of this thread I wanted to say that I am having trouble with my V+ remote where by it loses the volume code and no matter what i do (reprogram it using 0078 or 0079 both of which work with my Samsung LCD TV) it just will not adjust the volume then all of a sudden it will for a few days then stop again. It's not the batteries in the remote because everything else works OK, I've now resorted to having the TV remote on the chair also to control the volume.

Try 0079, works with most LE32 series.

Yes, this happens with my V+ box too (TV is Toshiba 42X3030). Normally my volume is set to around 20, when I switch to BBC HD (108) I have to turn the volume up to 30 or 35 to get the same level.

Am delighted to confirm that you are not the last and I probably will not be either. Really chuffed to find this thread since I too had changed the remote to Toshiba for volume and have since realised that the V+ wasn't already set to maximum volume. Great to find the answer to resetting the volume control to V+ in this thread
