Huge apologies if this has been covered elsewhere (I am soooo lazy !) but is there a way to increase the master volume on a Samsung V+ ? I thought I saw the installer do this (might have imagines it though) but for the life of me can't see a way of doing it. Any help would be appreciated !

Press the blue button Home.
Then go to option 9 Help and Info Its there how to set volume. But I can never get it to work in time on my Samsung. You have so many seconds to input the code and nothing happens when I try. |

I'm a new to the site and I have just gone through the frustrating procedure of finding the volume control code for my TV. If it helps any member the code for the Panasonic TX32LXD80 is 0005. A word of advice JUST KEEP TRYING.

panasonic SC-PT860 Home Theatre System
Anyone got a code for the panasonic SC-PT860 DVD Home Theatre System?
The Panasonic codes work fine for directly controlling the volume on my Panasonic TV but I've got it linked to the Home Theatre System and the sound goes through that instead... unfortunately all the codes I've found so far don't work for that... There are a lot of combinations with a four digit code, and my fingers are getting tired! |

Volume control for Philips 7404 Tv
Hi
I have a V+ box with one of the black rectangular remotes. The instructions for trying to set the remote to work the volume controls on the TV tell me to press mute and Volume + buttons together..... but no matter how I do it its just brings up the information screen which tells me I'm trying to use the volume key to change the tv volume and then tells me to go through the menus again....... can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong? thanks |

High quality cables can certainly improve digital signals in extreme cases (long cable lengths), but for 99.9% (my estimate) of people, they'll make bugger all difference.
However, even if the cable makes no difference to the digital signal, expensive cables do tend to come with much nicer packaging which will probably make you feel better about the quality of the cable (even though it is actually no better than the cable which came for free with the device). It really depends what you want out of your AV equipment. If it is all about brand names, then those Monster cables are pretty much a requirement for optimal results. If it is about best audio and visual quality, then the best usage of those Monster cables in the store is to hang the sales-assistant trying to sell you them from some convenient anchorage point. |

Just had V+ installed with BB and Phone yesterday after switching over from Sky. Got a little frustrated with remote as was not able to control my TV volume. However have discovered the following link on the VM web site which resolved my issue so am much happier now
![]() http://help.virginmedia.com/system/s...roller#types_9 Unlike the Sky remote, I can't see how this could also control normal TV channel and AV selections? Is this possible. If not am happy that I now have got the volume to work. |

Apologies all, the link above does not really work. The following should however:
http://help.virginmedia.com/system/s...MEZONE_OFFSET= If you then select under TV, "Cable Customers" and then click on "Virgin Media Remote Control Codes" you should then be able to follow from there on. Also I have discovered that on the Samsung V+ box that if you press the "*" in combination with say a number this will change the TV to that channel. Hope this helps someone. |

Living HD, the sound is out of synch. Doesn't match their mouths! And I can't do the volume control. I have a Samsung TV as well. I do what it tells me to do, press the star button and TV button at the same time. This is supposed to bring up something on screen I can put the code into but all it does is go back to the TV. What's actually supposed to happen when you DO press the star and TV button together? What comes up on screen? |

I got my V+HD box last Tuesday. Everything works perfectly except for 2 things.

Then point the remote to your TV and hold down standby, when your TV goes into standby let go of the standby button and immediately press OK to save the settings. Your remote should control your TV from then on. Also, after setting the remote you can control other TV functions by pressing * and another button, eg. * and HELP lets you change the AV input of your TV. |

Is your remote number 11 on this link? http://help.virginmedia.com/system/s...MEZONE_OFFSET= - click on VM Remote Control Codes

And even trying what it tells me on 'Home' - pressing * and TV button together, even as it goes back to TV, the light that comes up on the control (STB it says) is red, not green. No green light ever comes up. |
