No it's no 10, I think. 9 or 10, anyway, cos they both look the same!

And even trying what it tells me - pressing * and TV button together, even as it goes back to TV, the light that comes up on the control (STB it says) is red, not green. No green light ever comes up.
Different settings for 9 and 10: hold vol+ and mute togther until the green light flashes, then enter 453 and OK - that should set the remote for a Samsung TV.

If it doesn't, enter code 4080 instead of 453, then point the remote at your TV and hold down standby until your TV turns off. When it does, let go of standby and press OK to save.

No, still won't work. When I pressed the two together, all that happened was, the 'Volume' box came up on screen telling me that if I want to set up the V+ volume control, then press Home, choose Help & Info .... etc etc.

And it was still only a red light that came up on the control. Never a green light.

It should work, try it again. Ignore the messages on your TV and make sure you press Vol+ and Mute together - red fashes first followed by green a few seconds later.

Yay! It works! You're absolutely right, patience is a virtue! lol The box came up again, I just ignored it and it did, in the end, flash green. In went the code ... and I can now see to the volume without having to use the TV control.

Thank you!

You don't know how to get the Living sound back in synch, d'you?
I know what everyone's gonna say before they say it, but it's very disconcerting watching it! lol

Happy to have helped. Living HD sync problem maybe an area fault as it's working fine here. Are you using the optical out?

No, it's 'off' Should it be 'on'?

What does HDMI mean?

Sorry. As you will gather, you are dealing with a technical idiot!

No keep it off if your listening to the audio via your TV speakers only. HDMI: High Definition Multimedia Interface - your TV and V+ are connected via these ports. As for the lip sync problem, all I can suggest to you is to report it to Virgin.

I DID report the out of synch problem and he turned up today to tell me there's nothing they can do about it cos the fault comes from where HD is transmitted from, nothing to do with Virgin.

So I can never watch Living HD - though there's nothing wrong with the non HD Living channel.

Good job it's a channel I never really watch anyway, and lucky it's only one HD channel that has a problem!

Found it myself - it's 0165. Although you have to press down to turn it up, and up to turn it down.

Has anyone else had the problem of the "double mute"? By this I mean that I've used the volume codes so my VM remote controls my (Toshiba) TV volume, but occasionally, and not necessarilly when I press the Mute button, my VM box will mute (speaker sign with a cross over it in top right) as well as my TV. Pressing mute again will only un-mute the TV and not the box, so a system reset is the only cure. It rare but very frustrating.

Just wondering if anyone has a working code for a Philips 42PF7621D ?
The standard Philips code manages to move the screen position around rather than adjust the volume! It's obviously pretty close as it's doing something at least, but not quite right!

Many Thanks..

Sorted
If anyone else has trouble, try a software upgrade on your TV, I downloaded an update from Philips' website and now the code for Philips (4190 in the Virgin Manual) works a treat

Hi.

Another one!

I can't get my V+HD remote to control the volume on my TV. I have tried the codes set out in the VM listings and this morning I phoned VM help and was told that I should contact the TV manufacturer and ask for help. I did and was told that it was a VM problem.

Any ideas?

TV is Akura AXDVD2211W-HDID.

These problems seem widespread - perhaps VM could re-program the handsets?

Thanks.
