What is it about Strictly that everyone loves?

For me, the personal highlight is Brendan, but apart from that, i love the way in which it inspires people to take up dancing. My class absolutly love the show, and its so great to see their enthusiam for ballroom and latin dancing.

It has lovely men, lovely dancing, lovely music and lovely dresses.
It is just the best thing on TV for me!

It is just great entertainment for a Saturday night.

You go through all the experiences the contestants go through and when they do well and nail a routine you are so pleased for them.

I also love how much contestants undergo a 'J' word (soory for using that phrase!) you not only see their dancing develop, but also their confidence and joy in their partnerships!

SCD is not a cynical attempt to milk their fame, its a one off experience that changes them for good.

Personally it is watching all the professional dances, Brendan obviously, and the fact they get actually celebrities rather than D-listers like DOI!

I love Strictly Come Dancing because.......

The genius behind It Takes Two allows us to get under the skin of the show. We don't just watch a few dances each week - we get to know all the participants, see how hard they train, and the highs and lows they experience during the week. We therefore feel far more attached, which increases our involvement on a Saturday night.

And Mark Ramprakash's taut buttocks.

I love Strictly Come Dancing because of Anton Du Beke ,he always brings a
smile to my face, he is charismatic, charming not to mention gorgeous and
thanks to Anton my fellow Antonettes are the best friends anyone could wish for!

Seeing great dancing especially the pro dances

The 'niceness' of it all including everyone on here. Even CRH is a bit like the pantomime baddy. He doesn't really mean it!

Haven't been on here in ages, but hello again ! Thought I'd comment about why I enjoy SCD so much !

I love Strictly Come Dancing because :

1. Brilliant music & dance,
2. The gorgeous Karen Hardy & Lilliakopylova
3. Len's funny rants !
4. Bruce's jokes & general presentation skills really - wouldn't mind having
those myself when I am 79 !
5. Arlene - particularly when she gets in a hole ! - aka the Raw Sex Moment
6. The competitivenesss & the camararderie of the show to me, comes
through the screen.
7. The tension whilst each couple gets their scores
8. The adrenalin rush you get when you see a REALLY superb dance !

Well that all I can think of at the moment, hope you enjoyed it.

I second all that Mel, especially the last bit. All the fun, excitement, the pros, when you see a really good dance, etc all these sentiments expressed by Strictly C!

Being able to sit down on Saturday night with my 9 year old daughter and know that we will get family entertainment that we will both enjoy.

I love the professional dancers, watching the celebrities progress (mostly), the beautiful dresses, Len’s comments (yum yum pigs bum!) and although I’m not a dancer I seem to have picked up a little knowledge along the way. I’m also addicted to ITT, Claudia makes me laugh so much and it’s wonderful to see how the training sessions go between the big Saturday night shows.

You mentioned good points there, I find the VT's fascinating as well , I think its from those you can tell whether a partnership will work well or not ( Remember Georgina & James from the last series - talk about fireworks !)

I really enjoy ITT as well, its a great little show. Fascinating little things you find out about on there - even bizarre things to , like Craig & Anton singing !

Brendan , love the music and the dancing reminds me of my Italian boys when I'm in England and not in Rome...

It was helpful when learning how to dance, and its upbeat and happy...

Plus I love the fans on here specially the Brendan fans we have a right laugh...

7. It's inspired me to learn to dance. Been dancing since last October now and am loving my lessons. My teacher is really great and encouraging. We've learnt basic jive, cha-cha, salsa, samba, tango, paso doble so far and are starting the waltz at the moment.

I love Strictly Come Dancing because....

For people like myself who've dabbled a bit with dance in the past with nobody around me interested, it's now 'OK' to be into it.

I Love all the pro dancers (but especially Ian and Camilla) and I'm glad it's raised their profiles as dedicated and skillful professional entertainers.

It has ITT to keep us engaged. Although it can seem like just another chat show at times, what's best about ITT to me, is the serious informative pieces from the pros, like the bit about the Paso Doble last year; not to mention Len's masterclasses. I particularly loved the Professionals' choice feature. Must have been a great honour to have been nominated - weel done Ian Waite, nominated twice!

I love seeing the transformation of the celebs, and the dawning realisation of what a tough discipline dance is.
