The best possible result!

Tara won.

Colin didn't come close.

If that doesn't say something good about the nation, I don't know what will.

End of the line for people who think arrogance makes you wonderful and inportant.

Colin actually did come close, he lasted until last night's show. Maybe you missed it.

And actually the real winner is Comic Relief. Tara only won Fame Academy because of the 'Tara's journey' bandwagon. Tricia never had a hope despite being the better singer.

Tara was more entertaining. It's not like The X factor where you need to be the best singer. This was just a bit of fun and raising money for charity!

More likely Tara was seen as the better "all round performer", but we shall never know for sure, even if we carry on arguing about it till the cows come home.

It was still good to see Tricia's reaction at the end, and as was mentioned elsewhere, she even said on CBBC tonight that Tara deserved to win. So all credit to Trisha for her stance.

Who's a bad loser, then?

Tara isn't in the least bit arrogant, so I'm not sure who you're talking about. I suspect you don't either.

I guess Tara won beause she was the best performer and in a way the best ( most connecting ) singer.

Well done Tara I enjoyed your performances and songs

I think he/she meant Colin being arrogant.

I wouldn't have thought Plextor was talking about Tara at all, as he/she said that the result made it obvious that arrogance wasn't important. I don't know who, but suspect that the finger was pointed at Shaun there, or possibly Tricia, but I wouldn't have thought she was that arrogant either. Neither did Shaun seem to be, so I'm not sure who was, but I am sure there was never an implication that Tara was

I suspect Tara won for the same reason that (sorry about this) mediocre talent often tends to win through - we all deep down think "hmm, I could do that!".

I have news for you though - not without the connections you can't!

That having been said I am pleased for her and I really enjoyed watching her and I cared so little about who won that I didn't even watch the final tonight but just came on here to check it out! I would slightly have preferred Tricia to win though, simply because she's so much better vocally and no other reason.

You also need a performance, and a personality that the intended audience likes and can relate to.

And what is sometimes forgotten, most of the students were NOT trained singers (some had never sung before) , and the results that we have seen have been achieved in a little under two weeks.

Great result! The best entertainer won in my opinion. I loved her performance of 'Boots' tonight, has to be her best one of the series.

You're right, actually, thought Plextor was being ironic! Totally agree of course that Colin was arrogant.

Yes of course you do, but there are quite a few of us that have these attributes, or at least believe we do, and therefore will relate to TPT for the reason I said - because they may be thinking "that could be me". My whole point was about the fact that the average kareoke wannabe will take Tara to their hearts because they know (or think) they can sing better, and they may even have the personality. They could, however, have all the charisma and party dresses in the world, even a quirkly flat husky voice, but without connections they will never be able to do it so unless they have the connections - dream on

I certainly haven't forgotten that they are not trained singers, but I think Tara won was because she wasn't a great singer (and therefore the populus at large can related to her), rather than in spite of.

Though not my choice of winner particularly, I did enjoy her performances immensely.

So pleased Tara won. When you compare the two on a performance level Trisha never came close really, despite being the far better singer. Would have liked to have had a bit of an interview with Tara, but wasn't holding up much hope as they could barely fit the results in

No, the arrogant one was Colin.

That was what lost him the show; his arrogance.
People didn't like it or want it.

He was young and thought like most younger people do that they are the world and that the world revolves around them.

What a shock they must have had to find out that it doesn't.

Init though, Bothered?

Missed it last night, but I'm really glad Tara won. Pity she wasn't on X Factor - she'd have walked it for personality and her voice is pleasant to listen to.

Does anyone understand the text voting thing for the Fame Academy bit? I never normally do the phone/text voting thing, but my daughter wanted to vote for Tricia, so I sent a text at 7.50pm. This morning at 9.30 I got a text back saying my vote was not valid. What's that all about?
